Slow Cooker Cilantro Lime Chicken

I added an extra lime and used a taco seasoning recipe without salt after reading the reviews. I loved the final results, but I only gave it 4 stars because I made those changes to it. It was great, and went great with the mexicorn from this site and some tortillas.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

I loved this recipe, but I'm only giving it 4 stars for two reasons: 1. I didn't add any sugar to the salsa and it was sweet enough with the chips even though I left it out and 2. the prep time on this is way more than 15 minutes when you are chopping all the different fruit up. It was excellent though and it is definitely worth trying, but I would leave out the sugar and prepare for more prep time.

Quick Tuna Casserole

I love the ingredients in this dish, so I decided to give it a try. It was very bland and the soup flavor was very overpowering to the dish. I had to add a bunch of spices and some extra cheddar cheese to have any taste in this dish. I would not make this dish again.

Red Garlic Mashed Potatoes

The potatoes came out very creamy, but they were bland. I omitted the sugar as almost every review had suggested it, but it still didn't have much of a garlic flavor to it. After trying the initial product, I added a more garlic powder to the mix (just in case I was the only one thinking it needed more garlic) and my family said you couldn't really taste the garlic either. Definitely would need to change the seasoning level to have this again.

Simple Time Pork Chops

I made this recipe for my aunt and sister for Mother's Day. We all liked it, but I did change it slightly after reading a lot of the reviews. I mixed the herbs, butter and mayo together before putting it on the chops, but I also put some additional herbs directly onto the chops before adding the mixture to lock in the flavor (some of the reviews had mentioned that the chops came out bland because the herbs ran off of the chops due to the butter and mayo). Also, I put the cheese on during the last 15 minutes of cooking to avoid burning it. This came out moist and very flavorful.

Baked Salmon Fillets Dijon

This was good. I sprayed the top with Pam instead of butter as another review had suggested and didn't quite get the baked texture I wanted from the top of the salmon and the bread crumbs, so next time I will follow the recipe exactly and use butter instead. Also, I found that the parts where the dijon was a little thicker had a lot of the dijon flavor (fine by me, but not those that don't enjoy mustard like I do), so make sure to spread as evenly as possible to get the same flavor throughout.

Roasted Garlic Lemon Broccoli

I thought this was great. I'm giving it 4 stars because after I pulled the broccoli out of the oven I realized I didn't have any lemon or lemon juice on hand, so I was missing one of the flavors. I plan on making this again with lemon juice and bet that I will change this to a 5 star at that point.

Sausage Pasta

This recipe was great. My roommate and I tried it last night and both went back for seconds. I didn't add as much cheese as it suggested to the dish (I probably used about half), but I kept the remaining cheese on the side so that we could have as little or as much cheese as we wanted. I'm definitely going to make this again, but I think I will add a little more of the ingredients, other than the chesse, because I think it would help balance out all the noodles. Can't wait to make it again!

Easy Garlic Broiled Chicken

Made this with boneless skinless chicken breasts and it was delicious. The chicken came out very moist and had tons of flavor, but you have to make sure that you remember to keep basting the chicken to make sure that the flavor locks in.

Simple Sausage Casserole

I made this for Easter for the family using Jimmy Dean country sausage and adding just a bit of garlic powder like other reviewers had recommended. Everyone enjoyed the flavor, but I found that there was not enough of the meat mixture when I was putting the dish together. I barely had enough to spread over the whole layer of crescent rolls. Also, I did have to cook the dish longer to get the crescent roll top to cook completely. I would try this again, but I would make more of the sausage mixture for the center.
