it wasn't horrible, but not something I would make again.

Orange Tilapia

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2015
Excellent recipe, just make sure to put it under the broiler to get a nice crunch on top. I also used freshly squeezed orange juice and some zest for extra orange flavor. It was delicious paired with some orange glazed carrots and rice with orange zest, cranberries and pistachios. Yum.

Sole with Bananas

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2013
I thought it was so weird I just had to try it, and actually it was pretty darn good. Although I'm not a huge fan of the directions, why don't you just describe how you're supposed to make a rue instead of saying mix flour butter and milk?? Anyway not bad at all once you figure out how you're really supposed to make it. I would make it again but perhaps with a little less wine and maybe more lime juice.

It was a nice light dinner, I enjoyed it. I added some shallots and mushrooms just b/c I had them.

Winter Melon Meatball Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2012
Very good, although 2 eggs is definitely too much as others have mentioned, it just turned to a pile of goop so I had to add more pork. The salt was fine for me, I don't know why so many said it was too salty.

Excellent, I've made it with several different kinds of nuts, almonds seem to be best.

Toasted Almond Chicken Rolls

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2011
Meh, it was o.k. 10 minutes is definitely way to long to try to brown the almonds, they burn a lot faster than that.

Petite Blanquette de Poulet a l'Estragon (Tarragon Chicken)

Reviewed: May 23, 2011
Wasn't horrible but not memorable either and I have to agree with the other reviewers it's pretty bland. The meats not dry at all if you know how to cook but I expected much more from the sauce after all the work that went into it.

Udon Peanut Butter Noodles

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
Excellent. No need to change anything really, unless you like spicy than maybe add a little something spicy to it. I will be making this again.

Creamy Pesto Shrimp

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2010
As is it's waaaay too fatty but cut down on the all the cream/butter/cheese and it's still really good. I made a basic bashamel then added a lot less cheese and the pesto. Really good stuff.

Thai-Style Fragrant Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2010
The ingredients are great, I'm not too sure about these measurements however. I thought it needed more lemongrass and it was waay to sticky for my taste; more like risotto than rice. I took out a whole cup of water too and it was still that way. Where the heck do you buy curry leaves anyway? I had to leave that out but was still pretty good regardless.

The Best Thai Coconut Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2010
The name says it all. As good or possibly better than the restaurant. This one nailed it. I used Galangal instead of ginger and chicken instead of shrimp but I'm sure it's just as good. Great recipe!

Sesame Crusted Mahi Mahi with Soy Shiso Ginger Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2010
I liked the sauce a lot. Of course anything with that much cream and butter is going to be good. Over all a very good recipe.

Mango Lassi II

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2010
It's o.k, definitely not restaurant quality. If you want it to taste like the restaurant use mango puree in the can. It really makes the difference plus add a little water so it's not so insanely thick.

Phyllo Chicken Packets

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2010
I would have given a 5 but I'm including the reactions of those I served it to. I thought it was great, others weren't as fond of the mayonnaise sauce, maybe next time I'll try sour cream or something.

Asian Cucumber Thai Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2010
Perfect! The mint and the cilantro added some really nice flavors and the peanuts gave it a great crunch. A great salad for the summer. Used 2 cucumbers instead of 2 lbs of cucumbers, worked just fine. Great recipe thanks!

Chicken Piccata with Angel Hair Pasta

Very good recipe. Love the capers, just wish there was a way to tone down the acidity of the lemon juice a little. Over all very good, I will make it again.
