Growing up both of my parents worked so my brothers and sisters and I often did a lot of the cooking. Mostly hamburger helper and whatever was easy but I learned to like to cook early on. I lived in Spain for a couple years in my early twenties and learned to love the Mediterranean style of cooking. Today I love to try anything that I haven't tried before. I'm not an amazing cook but people tell me they like my cooking and I enjoy making things. I love to cook seafood. Cooked my first lobster not too long ago it was great. My Mom was great at making simple recipes that looked a lot more complicated. I try to follow her traditions in my own cooking. I once decided to enter a contest for desserts when I haven't hardly baked anything in my life. I frankenstiened like 3 different recipes together for a fruit pizza and it turned out amazing. I won the contest and people were begging me for the recipe. I like to experiment but sometimes experiments just go completely wrong. I threw together some stuff one time that I thought would go together well...my wife had a hard time choking it down so I know it was an utter failure.
