I really didn't start cooking/baking until I got married at age 20. During the weekdays, I like to make dishes that are quick and easy. But on the weekends, I like to make special dishes for my family...including desserts. My favorite things to make are candies, cookies and anything sweet. I love making homemade candies during Christmas and giving them as gifts. I'm always looking for new recipes to add to my collection. I come from a family of excellent cooks/bakers. My grandmother was "THE BEST" baker to have ever lived. My mother can make anything at a moments notices and it's always delicious...she's so creative! I was raised on various types of German foods and are still considered my favorite. I guess when I've entertained a large group of family/friends. My tragedies....too many to mention. lol
