Cheesy Bacon Jalapeno Skillet Cornbread

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2015
Great recipe! Loved the flavors. Used AP flour instead of gluten-free (we don't need to follow a Gluten free diet in this house). Used cheddar cheese instead of pepper jack. This is not a very sweet cornbread, which is a nice change from what I am used to making.

NO YOLKS® Creamy Chicken Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2015
Easy and very delicious. Didn't have any mushrooms, so left them out and used cornstarch slurry to thicken. Will be making this one again!

NO YOLKS® Noodles Romanoff

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2015
I served this as a side dish to baked fish. We liked it, but agree with the other reviews, that it is a bit bland as written. I increased all the seasonings to make it more our speed.

NO YOLKS® Lamb Stew

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2015
I could not find lamb stew meat, so as a variation on this recipe, I used ground lamb and made it into meatballs. I ended up doubling the sauce, which was delicious. We liked this recipe a lot. Lots of good flavors.

Mini Cheesecakes I

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2015
Very good recipe. I reduced the oven temp to 325 degrees F and baked for about 12 minutes. Perfect. Do not overbake and do not use reduced fat cream cheese if you are looking for perfection.

Grandma Minecci's Snowball Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2014
While this recipe produced very nice, not too sweet cookies, something is not right with the directions. I halved the recipe and got about 32 1" cookies (used a cookie scoop). I have no idea how you can only get two dozen 1" cookies using the entire recipe. I also baked the cookies for much less time than stated, about 10-12 minutes in a 350 degree F oven, 20 minutes they would have been burned. I realize all ovens cook a little different, but I can't help but wonder if the recipe got messed up when Allrecipes posted it. Otherwise, this is a great recipe for a great cookie.

Chocolate-Dipped Pistachio Biscotti

This is a fantastic biscotti recipe. Super easy, with great results. I changed up the add ins and used almonds and chocolate toffee bits. Wonderful addition to my homemade coffee basket gift this holiday.

Easy and delicious. Subbed craisins for the raisins. There are several recipes on this site that are exactly like this one ingredient for ingredient.

Farfalle with Roasted Winter Vegetables & Parmigiano-Reggiano Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2014
While I love all the roasted veggies in the ingredients separate, I'm not sure I love them all together in this dish. I think the Brussels sprouts overpowered the flavor a little. I would have preferred a more mild winter vegetable with the butternut squash. If i made this again, I would leave out the Brussels Sprouts. I did roast onion with the veggies, and that was a nice addition. I also shaved the Parmesan and added to the top of each plate along with some chopped fresh parsley. I did like the Barilla® Plus pasta. Very good texture and how can you beat the 17g of protein per serving?

Spaghetti with Buffalo and Tomato and Basil Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2014
This made a tasty, quick weeknight meal. We liked the addition of the red wine to the jarred sauce. I love ground buffalo and it was great in this pasta dish. The only complaint I have is that it was a little off on the pasta to sauce ratio for me. I would have liked a little more sauce, or a little less pasta, but that may be just a personal preference.

Crispy Panko Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2014
Really delicious weeknight meal choice. I didn't pound the breasts as thin as directed,so I just cooked them a little longer. I also seasoned the chicken with the spices (didn't measure) before dipping into the egg and left the panko unseasoned and plain.

Quick and Easy Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2014
First off, this recipe is missing a critical component. Oven temperature. I decided to bake at 325 degrees F. I'm not sure if that's what the author intended. In retrospect, that may have been too high of an oven for the amount of time this entire dish is supposed to bake. Next time, if I left the temp as I did, I would not cook the broccoli first and only slightly brown the chicken, before adding it to the baking dish. The broccoli was mushy, which I don't care for veggies cooked this well. But overall, the recipe was easy and tasty and I really think it has a lot of potential.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2014
As Allrecipes allstars, we were asked to make over a fall comfort food using Johnsonville® sausage. I think pot pies are symbolic with pure comfort food! In this recipe, I replaced the chicken with Jville fully cooked smoked turkey sausage. To the veggie mixture, I added chopped butternut squash and red bell pepper. I sauteed onion, butternut squash, celery, chopped red bell pepper dried thyme, dried sage and salt and pepper in some olive oil until softened. To that I added 2 cups mixed frozen veggies off the heat. I made the gravy as directed in the recipe above. I used a 10" cast iron skillet for the pie and assembled it as directed, then baked it as directed. Such a great meal and something a little different! The amount of gravy was perfect for this pie with my changes.

Apple-Cranberry Crisp by PAM®

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2014
I have to say, I was a bit skeptical when I was making this. I did sub out Honeycrisp apples for the tart ones called for in the recipe, but with sugar only in the topping and relatively short bake time, I didn't think this recipe would turn out...but it did...and it was quite good. My apples cooked to soft but still had shape and there was just the right amount of sweetness. I did add a pinch of salt to the topping when I made it in the food processor.

Sausage and Tortellini Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2014
We loved this soup! To help keep it figure friendly, I used Johnsonville 3- cheese Italian Style Chicken Sausage (which is delicious) and subbed chicken stock for the beef consomme. I added mushrooms and instead of adding the sausage with the onion, carrots, garlic I waited and added it with the tomatoes to keep that lovely cheese from burning in the bottom of the pan. This way, when the cheese did ooze out, it went straight into the broth. Thanks for a great, easy recipe!

Pumpkin Waffles with Apple Cider Syrup

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2014
We loved these waffles. I subbed buttermilk for the milk and used just a bit more than the 2 cups called for. Otherwise I followed the recipe as written. They were light and fluffy and not dense at all. Maybe the buttermilk helped. I did not make the syrup. Served with maple syrup and butter and they were delicious.

This was delish. Only made a few changes. Omitted the cinnamon and added a 1/2 tsp almond extract. Used buttermilk instead of milk and used all butter, no shortening. Will make again.
