Shepherd's Pie VI

We enjoyed this recipe. I'm giving it a 4 star rating because without the changes suggested by other reviewers it would be pretty bland. I spiced up the beef part with more ketchup, garlic, worchestershire sauce and seasoned salt. I added cream cheese to the potato topping and it was yummy. I did mash the carrots but found them a little odd that way. I added peas because we like them but next time I make this I'll use canned peas and carrots. With the above changes it was a good comfort food type meal.

Macaroni Caesar Salad

We loved this salad. I did add parmesan cheese - which to me is a must. The only thing I'd do differently next time is halve the recipe because this makes a lot and though we did eat the leftovers the romaine is a little wilty and the croutons get soft. It will definitely be appearing on our summer menus!

Justin's Hoosier Daddy Chili

This is a great chili recipe!! No need to cook it a day ahead for flavor. It's yummy right away. My husband even wanted to know what I did to make the chili so good. I only used half the crushed red pepper and no paprika or added salt. We like spicy but not firey and this was very flavorful. The only change I think I would make is to use diced tomatoes instead of crushed next time to make it a little thicker. Thanks for a great new chili recipe!

Cinnamon Pie

This pie has a good flavor - sweet and cinnamony. It is easy to prepare. I wouldn't give it a 5 because there is something a little odd about the texture and it isn't very attractive but if you like cinnamon it's worth a try - I'd classify it as an "everyday" pie.

Bev's Mac and Cheese

I found this to be a little thick and bland at first. I added a little more milk and a pinch of garlic powder and nutmeg to give it a little more taste. It is easy and quick and healthier than a box mix. I'll try it again with a different cheese.
