Playgroup Granola Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2012
We cut the sugar to 1/3 cup and used wheat bran instead of wheat germ. We also sprinkled chocolate chips on top. These were really, really good. I think next time we could cut the sugar or honey even more and they would still be really good (and healthier!).

Mom's Apple Fritters

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2012
These were really tasty, but I must admit I couldn't get over how unhealthy they were so couldn't fully enjoy them! Nonetheless, good recipe (but for me, not worth the calories)

Norwegian Pancakes - Pannekaken

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2012
I made these exactly as instructed. I wasn't sure if they'd be so different from crepes, which we make all the time. Essentially, they're eggier and as a result, "sturdier". They also be definition would be higher protein and lower carb. All in all, the kids loved them. Will probably make again.

Cheesy Baked Eggplant

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2012
I did as others did and salted the eggplant for 20 min, then brushed with olive oil and baked as instructed for 10 minutes, then proceeded with the rest of the recipe. The eggplant was so tough -you could not cut it with a fork but needed a knife. I'm not sure what I did wrong with this. No one in the family would eat it, unfortunately. I thought it was otherwise fine - but I think I'll be eating this myself for a week!

Simple Swiss Chard

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2012
I have never had Swiss Chard before, and this was actually delicious. Unfortunately, none of the kids liked it. I might try next time leaving out the balsamic (as other reviewers suggested).

Made it exactly as written and it was delicious. Great recipe! I used small red potatoes because that is what I had on hand.

My 9 year old made this herself with our pasta maker. It always turns out perfectly. Great recipe!

To Die For Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2012
My 9-year-old actually prepared this and made homemade fettuccini to go with it with our pasta maker. So delicious! Anything with this much butter and cream, of course, is bound to be tasty!

I really thought these were great, but the rest of the family thought they were too spicy.

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2012
This was very good. I admit, I skipped the white sauce and left out the meat - it was still delicious. Great recipe.

Wonderful Waffles

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2012
These were great. I also did not separate the eggs and just put them all in at once and they were perfect. I also replaced half the white flour with wheat flour and they were great.

Sweet Summer Smoothie

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2012
Maybe our banana was not quite ripe enough - this didn't even have a hint of sweetness - must have been our fruit. We added a little honey and it was great.
