Lentil Soup

Usually I make a lentil soup with sausage, Italian style, but since my husbands heart attack, I am very careful. This soup had all the right stuff. I made some seasoning changes, eliminating the salt and substituting the vinegar for lemon juice and instead of water used a "no salt added" chicken broth. I cut the veggies into large chunks. When the soup was cooked, I removed some veggies, blended them and put them back into the soup. Made it hearty and we liked it a lot.

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Followed the recipe with one exception. Before browning roast, I tied it. It cooked great and after removing cording, sliced and plattered the meat and vegs. Served with buttered noodles for those who wanted them and also had mixed green Salad.
