This cake was really delicious, but my cake still ended up cracking! I followed all the suggestions like making a water bath and not opening the door to the oven. O wells...at least it's good :-D

Wild Rice Micro Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2007
I really liked this recipe! I used 2 cans of mushrooms, one regular and one with portobello mushrooms. I didn't add the wild rice b/c it was going to take too long to cook. But all in all it came out delicious!

Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2006
Very yummy! I thought the dough was very sticky and hard to work with though. Placing it on the parchment paper really helped. I used almonds instead of pistachios, and it was delicious! The almond extract lends a very subtle flavor that is awesome! I would definitely recommend this recipe!

Shrimp and Artichoke Linguine

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2006
I thought this recipe was light and delicious, something not so full of cream and fat. However, I did make some modifications. I salted and peppered the shrimp before I cooked it so it would have more flavor. I added 4 cloves of crushed garlic. I also only used 8 oz of pasta. The recipe calls for a "package," but it's an 8 oz package, so I guess that's where people get confused. But 1/2 a package is definitely enough!

Broccoli, Rice, Cheese, and Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2006
This was delicious! I added a whole lot less cheese, about maybe 3/4 c. of shredded Italian blend cheese. Then I used cream of broccoli and cream of celery cause that's what I had on hand, but it still came out delicious! I omitted the onion and used fresh broccoli, yum! I used the microwave to steam the broccoli first so that it wasn't too raw after it came out of the oven. I used only 1/2 c. of milk. Came out perfect! Yum..

Fantastic Black Bean Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2006
This chili was awesome!! It reminded me of Wendy's chili, where it's not like a mush but more of a soup. I did make some adjustments to make it that way. I only added 2 cans of black bleans and I added 2 cans of tomatoes. I didn't think one can had enough liquid. But other than that, everything was kept the same. It is a little salty for me, but I think I'll pair it with rice next time. Mm, this was the perfect accompaniment to a cold night!

Flax and Sunflower Seed Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2006
This bread is delicious! It was very nutty and had good flavor. I can't even really taste the yeast in the bread! I don't have a bread machine, and so I tried making this by hand and I had some problems. However, the bread turned out fine so I'm guessing it was okay. I think my water was too hot for the yeast and it didn't poof as much and so when I let my dough rise for 45 min, it didn't rise that much. But I thought o well, and let it bake anyway. I also felt my dough was too wet when I mixed everything together so I had to add some extra flour. Don't know if it affected it much, but it still tastes good. All in all, a great recipe!

Italian Bread Using a Bread Machine

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2006
This Italian bread was delicious! I made this for my family and they couldn't believe I made this from scratch! I do not have a bread machine, so this is what I did. 1. Proof the yeast with 1/2 c. water, 1 tbsp brown sugar. 2. I mixed 2 c. bread flour and 2 c. all-purpose flour with 2 tsp of vital wheat gluten. 3. Added the remaining water to the yeast mixture and slowly added the flour until a dough formed. 4. I kneaded the dough until it was elastic and smooth and let it rise in a greased bowl. 5. I followed the rest of the directions in the recipe I hope you all enjoy, it's a delicious recipe!
