Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2013
We LOVED this recipe. Easily the most amazing thing I've ever made in my crock pot. I know people hate it when others don't follow the recipe exactly and then rate it, but here's what I did. Bought a 4 lb bone-in pork shoulder, seasoned generously with salt and pepper, placed in the crock pot with a slow cooker liner on low with 1 liter of Mug root beer. Turned it over every 3 hours until the meat broke away easily with a fork (about 7 hours with the last 2 hours being on high). Took it out of the soda, dumped the soda out, removed the bone, and shred the meat. Put the shredded meat back in the crock pot with 1-1/2 bottles of our favorite BBQ sauce, let it sit on low for 1/2 hour, served it on toasted buns with cheese. INCREDIBLE.
