Chicken Pot Pie IV

I made this last night for my three kids. Two out of three loved it so I consider it a hit! The only thing I did differently was to use leftover roast chicken.

Million Dollar Pickles

This was my first time making pickles and they came out SO good, definitely the kind I like, sweet but with a zing that hits you at the back of the throat. I didn't have 10 pickling cucumbers, only about 6 so I cut back on the ingredients and only used about 4 cups of sugar. I cut the pickling cucumbers lengthwise in to quarters before soaking them in the water. When I drained the liquid I left the pickling spices mixed in with the cucumbers and onions. Like another reviewer said, I put the pickles in to sterilized jars but then processed the jars for 10 minutes so I would be able to store them on my shelf. I will definitely be using this recipe again! Thanks!

Vegetarian Kale Soup

This was a great recipe and I will definitely make it again! I love that it makes so much as we now have food for a few more dinners. I changed a few things in the recipe. I substituted the water and vegetable bouillon for chicken stock and added turkey sausage. I didn't have diced tomatoes so I used two fresh tomatoes and I didn't have Italian seasoning so I just threw in some thyme, basil and oregano plus I used some frozen parsley as I didn't have the dry stuff.
