Tropical Grilled Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2010
These take a while to make, so I would suggest making a double or triple recipe of the marinade for future use. Well worth the time, though. Delicious!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2009
The only change we made was to use a bag of frozen peas and carrots instead of frozen peas and fresh carrots. Very excellent recipe. Easy to make. Tastes just like you want a chicken pot pie to taste.

Tofu Tacos II

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2009
The tofu really just served to dilute the flavor of the refried beans.

Whole Wheat and Honey Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2009
We've tried several pizza crust recipes from this site and this was by far the lightest and the best tasting. It made enough for 2 pizzas, one we cooked on a cookie sheet and the other on a pizza stone. Both turned out great.

Cider Cheese Fondue

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2009
We followed the recipe to the letter and it never quite got smooth. It was our first try at fondue, but I think we'll go with a different recipe next time. Not a very strong flavor.

Ham and Pineapple Couscous Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
I liked all of the flavor combination except the red onion. It overpowered everything else. Very easy to make. I'll skip the onion next time, but definitely try this again. Maybe more pineapple.

Reviewed: May 22, 2009
We used lavash instead of pitas and ground turkey instead of ground beef. Still FANTASTIC!

Whole Wheat Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2009
Impossible to do by hand as posted. We tried adding water, but it was just too dry and thick. I think we'll just try adding whole wheat flour to our regular pasta recipe.

Zucchini with Chickpea and Mushroom Stuffing

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2009
Even though both my husband and I love all of the ingredients separately, they just did not go well together. The zucchinis did not make good vessels to hold anything and are very difficult to eat out of and the stuffing did not hold together at all.

Garlic Teriyaki Edamame

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2009
I made this recipe to eat as a snack (refrigerate and munch on later). I didn't use the whole beans in the pod as the one picture showed, but the unpodded beans. The sauce was a bit runny so we had to add cornstarch to thicken it up. The sauce was a bit overpowering for the beans, but overall it worked pretty well.

Quinoa with Sweet Potato and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2009
This was a cheap, healthy recipe. Next time I will double the quinoa and add another flavorful vegetable like corn or green pepper.

Black-Eyed Peas and Tortillas

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2009
Amazingly simple. My expectations weren't high after seeing the mixture. But these were delicious! Definitely don't need the large tortillas. Small ones will do.

Spinach Noodles

Absolutely delicious! Works great with alfredo sauce. If you are using a pasta maker, it is much quicker and easier to make.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2009
FANTASTIC! Used 1/3 fat cream cheese and reduced fat margarine. Probably the best alfredo sauce I've ever made.

Basic Pasta

This was my first attempt at making pasta and it was FABULOUS! Super easy to make. Only took about 2 minutes in boiling water (wish that had been included in the directions).

The Best Cheeseball

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
This was really good. And REALLY a lot. For just one normal size cheeseball, cut this recipe in half. I went with previous reviewer suggestions of using chopped pecans instead of cilantro. If we make this again we'll add more jalapeno and pepper jack.

My husband doesn't like acorn squash at all. But he loved this! It tastes like dressing. Very good. Thanks.
