Very Easy Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2004
This recipe was wonderful. I followed some of the suggestions and added extra kiwi, mandarin oranges, and pineapple chunks. I will definitely make this again.

Pull-Apart Bacon Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2004
I have made this many times and it has always been a hit with guests. I roll and cut bread on a large cutting board for convenience. This can also be mixed the day before and kept in the refrigerator until ready to raise and be baked. Note: a non-stick spray helps with easy removal from pan.

Easy Ground Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2004
This recipe is a new family favorite. My very picky three-year-old loved it. As suggested, I cut the bouillon down to three cubes and cut out the salt. I also added exta garlic, a bit more paste, sprinked with 1 tsp garlic powder, 3 tsp cumin, and 1 Tb chili powder. I mixed in 3 cups cooked elbow noodles for a great meal.

Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2004
I have made this recipe according to its instructions and it is wonderful. For the sake of time and my own personal tastes I have made these adjustments: I use a total of 58oz of can peaches in light syrup--drained. I found absolutely no difference in taste or texture. It saves soooo much time. I also skip the crust-like recipe given. I make the fruit filling as instructed and I top with 3 C flour,3T sugar, 1T+ 1 1/2t baking powder, 1 1/2t salt, 1/2C+ 1T shortening, 1 1/2C milk. Mix dry ingred., cut in shortening and then add milk. Drop on filling and bake as instructed. Enjoy!

Turkey Pot Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2004
This was absolutely wonderful. Everyone in my family ate it ( including a 3 and 1 yr old). The second time I made this I used leftover frozen turkey and it made no difference. My suggestions to make it easier to do: 1) deal with the crust after having made the filling; it's best to let it cool a bit, 2) add the turkey to the first skillet and make the gravy by itself. Enjoy!!!

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2005
This was a wonderful recipe. It keeps well, staying very moist for days. This would be a safe bet to make ahead for any occasion. I also used counter thawed frozen bananas ( don't throw those ripe bananas away! Toss them in the freezer for later use) and there was no difference in taste or texture.

Chicken Chimi in the Oven

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2005
This was such a nice change. I made different fillings so that everyone had something to try. The original recipe is fabulous but I made some chicken and cheese filling so that my toddlers would eat too. I also used some green chilis and cheese as a filling. I can't wait to make it again. Thanks Jeri!

Mmm-Mmm Better Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2006
Followed the suggestion to use only one egg and the brownies turned out so much chewier than when I baked them following the recipe. I also topped my warm brownies with 1/2 cup butterscotch chips and 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips. The chips soften in less than 2 minutes and then they can be spread across.
