Chicken a la King I

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2006
This was so good!I took the suggestions of others & replaced the water with chicken broth & evaporated milk for the reg. milk.I also sauteed the chicken breast in light olive oil seasoned with alittle salt, black pepper & garlic powder.I also added a small chopped onion in with the green pepper & mushrooms.I didn't have bouillon powder so I heated the broth & dissolved the cubes in it.Even my husband who hates mushrooms loved this.He didn't even take the time to pick out the mushrooms! Thanks for sharing!

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2005
Ooh this was so good! I took the advice of another reviewer & added 1/3 cup of cornstarch instead of the flour & it turned out wonderful.I also made my own whipped cream from another recipe on this site! You won't buy store bought whipped topping again! Thanks for sharing

This was the best fried chicken I have ever cooked! I've always had trouble getting the coating to stay on the chicken but not with this one! This is the perfect southern meal, just add some mashed potatoes, collard greens & don't forget the homemade biscuits!! Perfect!!!!!

Bou's Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2005
This was so... awesome! I've never made a meal like this with all the ingredients so easy & on hand.We thought it needed to be thickened so next time I'll use a little cornstarch other than that won't change a thing! Thanks for sharing!

Best Ever Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2005
We have a saying at my home when I try a new recipe (if it is good it's a "keeper".This one is definately a keeper!!I did modify just a bit after reading others reviews.I sauteed the chicken & onions in butter with a 1/2 tsp. garlic powder.I added a 2oz.jar sliced pimientos(drained),1 can mixed vegetables(drained),1 can cream of mushroom with roasted garlic-that's all I had on hand.I also added a whole cup of corn flakes to the chicken mixture & enough to completely cover the top.I also reduced the mayo to 1/2 cup.My husband loved it but he said there was something that needed to be left out.We narrowed it down to the mayo.Next time I think I will try sour cream as others suggested.I think I will also try reg.cream of mushroom soup or the chicken. Also you might want to double the ingredients,it won't last LONG!!We aren't big eaters but this went quick!
