About this Cook
I'm 40 yrs.old & have been cooking since I was about 8 yrs.old.I love to cook southern food the most because I was raised in the south(and anyone from the south knows when you eat moma's & grandma's food you are hooked for life! I also love to try new things, that's why I came to Allrecipes! I've found some awesome recipes here & now this is the only website I use.Anything you're looking for you will find here.Happy cooking!!!!
My favorite things to cook
I bake & broil alot of my meats(healthier that way). But my family loves creamed potatoes with every meal, add some cornbread & a side vegetable or two & viola'! We grill out alot in the summer, nothing beats grilled chicken & of course STEAK!

Chicken a la King I
This was so good!I took the suggestions of others & replaced the water with chicken broth & evaporated milk for the reg. milk.I also sauteed the chicken breast in light olive oil seasoned with alittle salt, black pepper & garlic powder.I also added a small chopped onion in with the green pepper & mushrooms.I didn't have bouillon powder so I heated the broth & dissolved the cubes in it.Even my husband who hates mushrooms loved this.He didn't even take the time to pick out the mushrooms! Thanks for sharing!

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie
Ooh this was so good! I took the advice of another reviewer & added 1/3 cup of cornstarch instead of the flour & it turned out wonderful.I also made my own whipped cream from another recipe on this site! You won't buy store bought whipped topping again! Thanks for sharing
