Chocolate Chip Pancakes

So good! I will never go back to boxed pancake mix! Didn't care for the chocolate chips, but the plain pancakes I made were wonderful and fluffy! Thanks for a great recipe!

Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Definitely easy to make! Virtually no measuring needed, but the flavor is too rich for my taste. I used M&M candies, but I think this dough is too sweet for those.

T's Sweet Potato Fries

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2010
Great recipe! Giving it 4 stars because microwaving is definitely not necessary if you make them thin fries. I peeled the sweet potatoes, cut them into almost shoe string fries, tossed in extra virgin olive oil and sprinkled with salt. Perfect flavor. I made one cookie sheet with salt and another sprinkled with cinnamon & salt - requested by my teenage son. Baked for 35 minutes. Definitely love the cinnamon & salt better!

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2010
Great recipe with the added changes as other people have suggested of 1/2 cup more flour and a teaspoon vanilla. I used creamy peanut butter. As an extra treat, I softened some vanilla ice cream and made ice cream sandwiches with some of these. Yum!!

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

What a great cookie!! 10 min in the oven is perfect. I used dark chocolate baking pieces which to me is perfect so the cookie is not overly sweet. Thank you for this recipe!!

Orange Loaf

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
I made this to use up some of my many oranges. It was refreshingly different, a good cake with coffee or tea. I did cook the glaze longer than directed to reduce the liquid.

Belles Hamburger Buns

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2010
Tasty, hearty buns. I don't have a bread machine so I heated the milk, butter and sugar and then added the yeast. I'm new to baking bread and have found that when I add salt to the warm liquid mix, it prevents the yeast from foaming properly, then my dough doesn't rise. I added the salt with the flour and followed the rest of the recipe. The ones I shaped into hamburger buns came out better than ones I tried to make for hot dogs.

Sy's Challah

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2010
I'm sure this is a good recipe if the directions to mix the yeast is altered. I tried twice and neither time did the yeast foam up. Both times the liquid mixture was definitely warm enough, but I think the salt inhibits the yeast. The second time, I actually mixed in flour, but the dough didn't rise.

Pumpkin Bread IV

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
What a wonderful recipe! I just made a batch into 2 loaves and 15 muffins. Tastes delicious! I used two 15 oz. cans of pumkin because thats what I had in my pantry, I substituted unsweetened apple sauce for the oil, used 2 cups brown sugar and 2 of white suger, and 4 1/2 tsp apple pie spice rather than the separate spices (my apple pie spice has cloves, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg). I baked the loaves for 45 min, the cupcakes for 20 min and they all came out beautifully. Thanks for a great recipe!

A really good cookie! I did add a tsp of cinnamon and apple pie spice. Our friends love them. Unfortunately, can't taste the difference between the cranberries and raisins.

Bacon Popcorn

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
Wow! This tasted better than I thought it would. I used 1/2 cup of finely shredded cheddar & monterey jack cheese rather than the full cup and crumbled real bacon on top. But after indulging in this sinful snack, we opted for a VERY healthy dinner, like a big bowl of broccoli. Thanks JR for the recipe!

Pasta e Fagioli III

Thank you for giving me a good base recipe! I did as others suggested and used chicken broth, used more garlic, a small green bell pepper (diced) and more carrots (chopped baby carrots). Needed lots of salt and spices to jazz it up a bit. I served the soup with warm Italian bread.

Jalapeno Poppers I

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2009
My first attempt at Jalapeno Poppers came out great! Took a lot longer to prep than I expected due to the seeding process. I used jalapenos I grew at home and they were smaller than normal so I only used half the filling and half of the cheddar. I think that something was missing. It was spicy, but maybe if I dipped it in something it would've been better. A friend tasted them and suggested dipping these in warmed raspberry jelly before eating. I'll have to try that next time. Thanks for a yummy recipe!

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2009
I love these cookies! They came out soft and chewy. I used margarine rather than butter and dropped the dough in teaspoonfuls onto parchment paper. Then I sprinkled a mix of cinnamon and sugar that I keep in a salt shaker onto the dough and baked for 8 minutes. Awesome! Thanks for a fabulously easy recipe!

Honey Baked Chicken II

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2009
Tasty and very easy to make! I saved this recipe a while ago and finally tried it tonight using boneless, skinless chicken breasts each cut into thirds. I marinated the chicken in the sauce (used 1/2 the butter, no salt and honey mustard dijon) in the baking dish for about an hour, then baked it covered for 30 min., flipped chicken and baked another 15-20 minutes uncovered. I served it with yellow rice, next time I think a white rice will compliment the gravy and chicken better. Thanks for a great recipe!
