i didn't bother to blend the soup. I chopped all the veges to bite size pieces and it was good. I also added a bit more seasoning. This is a good, healthy soup!

Oatmeal Apple Crisp To Die For!

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2014
I will make this again but I will cut down on the cinnamon. I normally add more than called in most recipes but 3T was too much. I reduced the sugar and butter just to cut calories and it seemed to work out just fine.

Special Edition Peanut Butter Cookies

I didn't flatten my cookies and they turned out fine. I will add some flavoring next time. Maybe some vanilla and spices. Good cookie overall!

Chef John's Stuffed Peppers

I didn't read the directions and browned the meat first and it still turned out fine. I didn't have cayenne so I use Sriracha sauce. Very good!

Creamy Tomato-Basil Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2014
In the interest of eating healthier, I cut the oil and butter in half and it worked fine. I read the reviews about it being to watery so I just let my tomatoes cook without a lid for awhile and it was fine. I'm sure how much water you have depends on the type of tomatoes you use. I used fresh out of the garden along with fresh parsley and basil and it was very good!

Baked Oatmeal

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2014
This is my favorite recipe and I change it up every time depending on what's in the fridge. Today I added a cup of applesauce and cut the butter to 1T and the milk in half. I also cut the brown sugar in half and didn't miss it. I added apple and banana as well and it was great! I cook it on Sunday morning so I'll have leftovers for the week.

I used fresh thyme instead of basil and added chopped leaf lettuce since we have an abundance of it in the garden. Nice!

Spicy Sausage Quiche

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2014
This tasted wonderful! I wasn't in the mood for the seasonings suggested so I just added salt and pepper and along with the spice of the sausage, it was still good. I also made 1/2 of the recipe and cooked it in a 8x8 pan and it took about the same amount of time.

Celery Salad

I normally would have passed this by but I'm challenging myself to try new recipes and it was really good! I didn't have lemon juice so I used lime. I only had vanilla yogurt and it worked. Thanks for sharing.

just like mom used to make! I cooked the pasta separately and added it at the end and it wasn't watery at all like another reviewer noted.

Thai Chicken Vegetable Soup

It was good but the flavoring was a bit strong for us. I added extra plain chicken broth and liked it better.
