Mexican Bean Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2009
I followed others advice and reduced oil, vinegar and sugar. I didn't have red onions but had shallots so used 2 of those and only used one green pepper and had no corn as well. But it tasted great the way it was. I will make again exactly as the recipe calls (minus the extra oil, vinegar and sugar). Thanks for the recipe.

Waffles I

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2009
This was decent. It was easy and quick to make and texture wise was perfect. It was crunchy on the outside and soft inside. The problem was that it was a bit bland - I didn't think even the butter or syrup enhanced it. I would not make this again, but I appreciate you posting the recipe. Thanks.

Winter Fruit Salad with Lemon Poppyseed Dressing

I liked the actual salad itself but did not care for the dressing at all. Will try again with different oil. thanks.

Green Salad with Cranberry Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2008
I really liked this recipe. I always make recipes exactly as they are on the website first and then adjust them as necessary, so as not to skew my vote. After I made the dressing I found the flavour of dijon so overpowering that I ended up adding more oil, water and vinegar. I also tossed in some sugar and that seemed to make it better. I loved all the flavours together in the salad. The only thing I changed was goat cheese for the blue cheese since I don't care for blue. Thanks for the recipe!

Light Oat Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2007
Easy recipe, great taste. I'm pretty new to bread making, but this was the first time that the loaf puffed up over the top of the pan. Too much yeast? Anyway, that part didn't cook very well. But the rest was great. Thanks!

Shrimp Lemon Pepper Linguini

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2007
I loved this. I also sauteed mushrooms and sundried tomatoes separately. I doubled the recipe but found it to be a bit too runny this way. I think next time I'd stick with the original measurements as there are only two of us. Thanks for the great recipe.

Grilled Mediterranean Vegetable Sandwich

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2007
I can't say enough about this recipe. My husband and I have been making it weekly for about 3 years now. We have never actually used the foccaccia but instead turn it into wraps or use homemade bread. Absolutely amazing and so simple.

Fruit Salsa with Cinnamon Tortilla Chips

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2007
Made this for a girl's night and it was a hit. I tripled the recipe so had plenty of leftovers and they kept well for about a week. Easy to substitute whatever fruits you have on hand.

Asian Beef with Snow Peas

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2007
This was great. My husband doesn't eat beef so I substited tofu and it worked quite well. I also didn't have cornstarch, but I didn't find the recipe missed it.

Honey Of An Oatmeal Bread

There is a local cafe in my city that serves Oatmeal bread only on Wednesdays. I go only for the bread. This is better than that! Thank you for a fantastic recipe.

Lemon Carrots and Rutabaga

We loved this! I also steamed the veggies, but I did not cook the sauce. I simply tossed the veggies with the remaining ingredients and ate right away. Delicious!

Strawberry Champagne Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2007
I really enjoyed this, but I would try using only 1/4 of the salt to start then adjust if necessary. I found the suggested amount too much.

Pineapple Ham and Rice

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2006
This was so simple and delicious. I'm moving in a couple of days so was running low on ingredients and this was perfect. I added onions and next time would add green peppers. Thanks for the recipe.

Vegetarian Four Cheese Lasagna

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2006
This was really simple to make (aside from the time to cook). I didn't think the pumpking added much to it, or maybe it needs more than called for. However this was delicious even though I didn't have feta and used Pecorino instead. I recommend slicing the tomotoes after cooking (or before) because they are too large otherwise. Delicious.

Spring Biscotti

These were delicious. I substituted slivered almonds and I liked them in it. The only thing I noticed is that the final product had hints of egg - sometimes quite strong.

Banana Bread

i loved this banana bread! I used only one loaf pan so it took a little bit longer to bake. I also added milk chocolate chips for a nice change.
