This is almost like mine I have been cooking since I learned it from my grandmother at 10 (39 years ago). She started with butter added red pepper flakes, white pepper and garlic with the butter. She then added 1/2 and 1/2 and used about 1/4 cup of the pasta water to thicken it better and keep it thick longer. Sprinkle with flat leaf parsley.
