Stuffed Leg of Lamb with Balsamic-Fig-Basil Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2014
Love the sauce. Lamb was a bit undercooked.

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2014
Really good! Made on George Foreman grill with added red pepper. Could do with a bit more kick for spice. Liked that the onions retained a bit of crunch.

Jagerschnitzel

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2013
Not bad, a bit dry (and definitely smoked up the kitchen!). Used fresh mushrooms, sauce was good but I would have enjoyed a bit more flavour. May try again although I don't think this will become a regular recipe for me. Served with egg noodles and green beans.

Angel Hair Pasta with Shrimp and Basil

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2013
Tasty, although not a ton of flavour. May try serving over spaghetti squash instead of pasta next time. Added yellow zucchini (corgette) and red pepper with the tomatoes when simmering and some spinach about 2 minutes before serving. I had cooked the shrimp with a little lemon juice - probably won't do that next time (or would add milk at the end to cut the acidity). Served with hot sauce and freshly grated parmesan cheese.

Basic Crepes

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2013
Very good, moist crêpes. Will use again. ** Do not follow mixing directions in recipe!** Mix liquids in one bowl, then added pre-mixed dry ingredients. Added 1/2 tsp vanilla, 1/4 C sugar for sweet crêpes and about 1/2 C extra liquid (water and/or milk) until batter was runny. When frying I only used butter on the first one; non-stick pans don't need it. Served 3 ways: sprinkled with sugar and lemon juice, with maple syrup, and with chocolate-hazelnut spread (with optional coconut). May try omitting sugar and vanilla next time and making savoury ones (with cheese, eggs, spinach, asparagus, tomatoes and/or ham inside).
