I must admit to all that I was able to complete 2 weeks of menu planning, (yeah me!) but as for getting my life and home in order not so much so harmony is still awaiting.
We went out to dinner for the last 3 nights...so much for saving some of our moola! lol Today I was able to make the Jimmy's Mexican Pizza... quick and easy but bland, boring, and needs to be reworked in my family's opinion. So tomorrow is another day in
which I can look at the to do list of recipes, cleaning and organizing and try to push on thru to get into a routine.
It is said that it takes 21 days to form a habit - I will probably need a life time! oops thats right I'm over 50 so I guess I have half a lifetime to build those habits (te he te he). So far I have half of my morning routines done like getting dressed, taking
medications, 2 minute hot spot pick up, looking at the calendar and eating breakfast :). Now I must get going on the swish and swiping of the toilet (eww), doing the breakfast dishes, and throwing a load of laundry in every morning. Once I get the AM routine
down then I will need to work on the zones that are listed in the home routine app. If you dont have the App I would suggest it or use Flylady.com that is a very informative site as well.
As for cooking I was daring today with the Mexican Pizza... I actually used chili powder and cumin....I wonder how old they are? Well they must not have been terribly old because I did not have to dust the bottles off first! I do have a big fear of having
too much heat in any dish... my poor taste buds are very bland and even though I followed the recipe my husband still had to put hot sauce on it. Tomorrow we are going to do a Red Bean Salad with feta and peppers..out of my comfort zone of pot roast and baked
chicken so we shall see how that goes. I might even get brave and try to make dessert!
