Who hear knows exactly what they have, where they have it and how much they have of it?....Not I says this slightly worn out Cottage Hand!

30 years of playing homemaker, working Mom, disabled Mom, Grandmother and worn out wife has led me to realize I have an addiction to being organized. I spend hours reading how to be organized, browsing Pintrest, Allrecipes, other websites and any magazine I can get my hands on. I hate it if the house is a mess, and that we spend WAY TOO much $$ on eating out - so as you can imagine I am far from being Suzy Homemaker. I am a procrastinator extrodianire. LOL

Some months ago I decided to use my smart phone to assist me in the cleaning of my house with the App "HomeRoutines"  its a good app however, one must be able to open the app and actually complete the tasks listed....without life getting in the way. I get going in the morning and am able to complete several "stars" but by midday I'm done and onto something else.Something else also means and App called Intuition...I now mainly use it for my grocery list  :)

Now that I have accepted my flaws (Ahmm Ahmm) and have learned that restoring balance is something that I will need to work on in short meaningful bursts if I truely want to be organized with harmony.

So here is my plan and my challenge:
take inventory of the pantry and freezer
complete at least the morning tasks in Home Routines daily
update my intuitions lists of to dos daily
maintain at least 2 weeks of meal plans here on Allrecipes
and work on only making recipes for the meal plan that will clean out my pantry and freezer!

I have now accepted the challenge... now its off to bed to lie there dreaming of ways to restore harmony.

I wish you well in your quest for organization. I find myself starting one task only to be distracted by something else. I must force myself to complete each task before I move on.

I was not easily distracted from doing and completing tasks...until post menopause. I'm blaming the lack of hormones on it! That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

at least you are getting started on the task. I often am just over come with inertia and don't even start.

thank you BigShotsmom for the well wishes......as for completing tasks I'm sure my missing hormones have contributed to my lask of completion on the tasks because without those hormones the energy to move is lacking...

About Me
Wife and Mom of 2 with 2 grandchildren. Looking to expand my cooking experience and be a more organized person who is able to accomplish more with ease.
My favorite things to cook
I like making my Mom's chuck roast which is a family favorite, and I love sweets...I have been married for 30 years andstill consider myself a novice - I finally have the time to experiment and grow as a cook and soo look forward to the experience.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Mom always did the cooking expcept for a few of Dad's french Canadian recipes that included of course crepes and poutines... I hated those poutines...but I have passed on the crepes and Mom's chuck roast !
My cooking triumphs
My cooking triumphs? Does gaining weight mean I have helped me to become triumphant?
My cooking tragedies
Oh do I have a tragedy lol My very first year I was married I soo wanted to show off my noexostent cooking skills that I volunteered to cook Thanksgiving dinner. All the sides were done, and we were still waiting on the turkey for HOURS as I put it in with the breast down and it just did not cook... to this day one of my brothers still brings this up :/
