Slow Cooker BBQ Flat Iron Steak Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2011
Deeeeelicious! This was terrific. I forgot all of the reviews said it was kind of salty and I salted my meat before I placed it in the slow cooker and it tasted just fine to me. Maybe it wasn't salty because I used low sodium soy sauce... This was perfect as it...but who doesn't love garlic? I added some garlic powder when i salted the meat at the beginning. this was great try it! oh I did have to use flank steak as I was unable to find a flat iron steak but next time i make this I want to find flat iron steak

Super Summer Salsa

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2011
i cut the sugar also (maybe 1 tbsp). i used a shallot in place of the red onion, the ones in the store were too big. i also substituted 3 roma tomatoes for the pepper (i don'l like peppers) added the juice of one lime and a clove of garlic. pretty good today and i can't wait to taste it tomorrow after reading all of these reviews!

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2011
blah! this was bland. i had to add some major seasoning to make it taste somewhat decent. didn't like the oregano either. i won't be keeping this one.

Cajun Style Baked Sweet Potato

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2010
I thought the ingredients list sounded a lot like emeril's essence to me as one reviewer said, so that is what I used and added the rosemary and brown sugar when mixing the seasoning and oil. Also I peeled and cubes the sweet potatoes in 1 inch pieces and cooked uncovered at 400 for 30 minutes. They were crispy and chewy! Mmmmmmmm! Definitly a keeper!

DEEEElicious! i took some of the other reviewers advice and lost the bacon sub'ed low fat sour cream for the mayo, squeezed some lemon juice on the chicken after i stuffed it and also added some chopped pecans/walnuts. sooo good and tender!

French Dip Sandwiches

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2010
I have never had a french dip sandwich but my husband loves them and he loved this recipe! My roast was preseasoned with cajun seasoning, onion powder and yellow mustard. Other than the recommendation to use low sodium soy and freshly minced garlic i did the recipe as written and it was delicious! we used small hoagies and white american cheese with mustard to dress the sandwich and it was yummy!!!

Creamy Shrimp and Corn Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2004
very yummy! we had some friends over that weren't hungry but we told them they had to try it and they ended up eating 2 bowls each! i used cream of shrimp and fat free cream of mushroom instead. also i used a whole onion, 1/3 of a large bell pepper, and 2 1/2 stalks of celery in the sautee mixture. and i added 1/2 lb. of bay scallops to the recipe and marinated it in tony's cajun seasonings, garlic, and onion powder while the sautee process was going. oh and the best part swanson makes a roasted garlic chicken broth which really helps to kick up the flavor. and you can't forget to throw in the cayenne pepper!!!
