Spritz Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2010
Great tasting dough!!! I had taken the advice of one of the other reviewers & put the dough in the Refrigerator. I own a Wilton Cookie press and that was the BIGGEST mistake I made. Once I let the dough stand out for a long time and it was really soft, the dough & press worked well. So, be sure to know your cookie press before you start to sptriz your cookies.

Slow Cooker Cranberry Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2008
This recipe was easy. I would recommend slicing the cranberry sauce and make sure that it melts down in the juices of the meat. Some of the sauce just stayed on the roast and did not melt into liquid like I thought it would. The flavor was satisfying and the smell was mouth watering. Also, I prefer to season my meat before putting the cooker. I used just salt & pepper. The pepper really brought the cranberry flavor. It was a nice touch.

Southwestern Style Fifteen Bean Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2008
This recipe was very easy and smelled divine. I rated this three stars because no one in my household liked it. I was the only one who ate it & I thought it was pretty good. It does make a lot so prepare to freeze some or feed a big crowd.

This was so simple. Followed the recipe and put it on some wide egg noodles and it was great! Everyone thought this was very tasty and something different to do with brats.

Butterscotch Spice Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2008
This is the BEST cake!!!!! Okay....I didnt use butterscotch. I used pumpkin instant pudding. It was incredible! It was spicy with the cinnamon and you could really taste the pumpkin. The cake was moist and so soft. This would be great with a cream cheese frosting or glaze.

Chicken with Chipotle

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2008
This was simple to do. The sauce was tasty. I put in 4 peppers and I didnt have any chicken bouillion so I used chipotle bouillion (about 4 small cubes). Next time I am going to use chicken breasts - my family hates skin on their chicken and when you pull off the skin, the sauce and flavor is gone. Great recipe! Thanks!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2008
This was fabulous! I added one can of milk and a bag of mixed veggies. It came out a bit soupy because of the added items. It didnt matter, it was still great. Watch your salting on this recipe, for the soups are salty enough. So easy AND so tasty!

Pistachio Cake III

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
This produces a very moist cake but lacked any real flavor. It is an easy recipe to try and would be fun to have on a "green" holiday, however, if you are looking for real taste, try another cake recipe.

Hash Brown Casserole III

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2008
This recipe is a great breakfast recipe. It is quick & easy & very tasty. I did not do the microwave thing (There was NO WAY my dish was fitting into my microwave). I just mixed the cheese up real good with the hash browns & minced garlic (using my hands). I added a dash of cayenne and a LOT of cracked black pepper. I baked it for 25 minutes & then topped it with more cheese & baked it for 5 more minutes. It came out really tasty.

Swedish Cured Pork Loin

My family really liked. the meat was very tender & juicy. Being that it is winter, I baked it at 350 degrees for about an hour & a half & it was perfect. It is worth the wait!

Baked Kielbasa and Potatoes in Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2005
I wasnt sure what to think of this recipe but decided to try it anyway. My family LOVED it. It was very simple. You can also spice it up by using a dash of cayenne or adding some hot peppers. You can really work with this recipe to make it your own.

Slow Cooker Chicken Continental

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2005
This is such an easy recipe. The chicken comes out tender & juicy. I have made this several times & it is great every time. I have added different spices to change the flavor (like paprika & fresh black pepper)and that worked well too.

Ukrainian Chicken Kiev

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2004
Let me admit this first: I did not read the entire recipie before proceeding so I ended up taking short cuts. I did not make the seasoned butter. I just sprinkled the pepper & garlic (I used garlic salt) on the Chicken & rolled in the pat of butter. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE GOOD STRONG TOOTHPICKS!!! I breaded it but didn't put in the fridge. I fried it right away. The taste was still INCREDIBLE! My family LOVED it.
