Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 20, 2009
I thought this was REALLY good. I only gave it 4 stars, because my hubby thought it was good, but not great. My kids would not touch it. But let me also add that I am the only apple lover of my family. My hubby and kids do not typically like baked cinnamon apples. If it were just me, I would give this 5 stars. I found the recipe around 5:30 pm, when I was wondering what on earth I was going to make for dinner. I considered ordering out, but so glad I made this instead! I had everything on hand, and it was easy and fast! I followed recipe exact, except I did make 4times the sauce, otherwise there would not have been enough. Thanks!

Banana Crumb Muffins

These were just okay for me. After all the rave reviews I was a little disappointed. Nothing special for me. Not bad, but nothing to brag about. I will probably make again. Thanks.

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2008
My husband and sons loved these. My husband said they are better than beef burgers. I did everything as is only added lightly more breadcrumbs and omitted onion because I don't like them. I think next time I will try the worsterchire sauce as others recommended. I grilled them on an indoor grill.

Chicken and Cashews

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2008
This was super easy and really good. I was surprised. My 11 yr old son absolutely fell in love w/ it! He had seconds, and thirds, and fourths! He is already begging me to make it again! That says it all. I omitted the onion, can't stand them. But that was the only change I made. I steamed some broccoli to go with it. I changed the servings to feed 4. Sauce was perfect. I love the brown sauce, just like at the restaurants. Next time I will add some more veggies. Thanks for sharing!!! Because of you my son thinks I am an awesome cook!!!

Swiss Chicken Casserole II

Reviewed: May 5, 2008
My family scarfed it up! It was a quick easy meal. I used white wine as other suggested. I think next time I will try the milk. Also I put too much butter (1/2 c. like someone suggested) and the stuffing was soggy. I should have tried the recipe without changes! But still my family liked it and we will make again!

Tommy's Ham Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2008
I was not expecting this to be so good! We had a bunch of leftover ham, so I tried it. Well my family LOVED it! My 10 yr old said it was the best thing I ever made! (Doesn't say much for my cooking!) So we decided tonight to triple the recipe to get rid of the rest of the ham. I also added more more milk, and used cream of chicken, because that is what I had on hand. Also used ritz crackers. Great comfort food for winter and very easy and fast! Thanks!

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2005
Ahhhhh!!!! Just the perfect soup for winter time! Yum! I did everything just as the recipe said except for I used three cloves of fresh garlic instead of powder (we love garlic) and I added mild sharp cheese in addition to the velveeta cheese. Very good! I think next time I will try it with half and half or even heavy whipping cream.

This was okay. It was not the best meatloaf I have ever tasted, but it wasn't bad either. My kids ate it with no complaints, so that is a blessing!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2004
I used a much smaller roast, like 1.5 lbs. so I only used 1 can of mushroom soup and I also used half a can of beef broth instead of the water. It was very good. My hubby scarfed it up! It was a little salty, but we like salt. Only advice is if making mashed potatoes as a side, omit the salt in potatoes because gravy will be salty enough. I don't even eat mushrooms, but I thought this was great!
