Grilled Garlic Potatoes

Reviewed: May 29, 2013
One of the best potatoe recipes I've tasted! Thanks so much for sharing!

Lemon Pie Bars

Reviewed: May 24, 2013
Loved these lemon bars. The first time I made these, I followed the recipe to a T. However, I am a big lemon fan, so the next time, I added about 2 TBS zest to the crust, added about 3 TBS zest to the filling and finished them off with a lemon glaze on top. The glaze was made with 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar and 4 TBS lemon juice. Absolue heaven! Thanks for sharing!

Brownie Chocolate Chip Cheesecake

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2011
I really wanted to love this cheesecake, but it wasn't to be. I like a dense NY style cheesecake and it was more of a "fluffy" cheesecake. I also don't think the flavors of the cheesecake and brownie worked together very well.

Brownie Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2010
Yummy! What an awesome frosting to add to brownies. Actually, it is almost like fudge.

Robust Marinated Steak

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2009
I have to agree with the previous poster in that marinating the steak overnight may be too long. While I enjoyed the flavor, the meat (I used organic sirloin) became quite tough. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Chewy Peanut Butter Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2009
The taste was pretty good, but unfortunately, they didn't bake well for me. The edges were very brown and crispy after the alloted cooking time, however, the middle was not baked through. Also, I added about 1/3 cup chocolate chips and frosted with chocolate frosting and I think that both were overkill. They were way too sweet, and I have a huge sweet tooth! I would recommend either adding the chocolate chips or putting frosting on them, but not both. Thanks for the recipe.

Grilled Marinated Shrimp

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
Wow, were these shrimp yummy! I only had time to marinate these for 1 1/2 hours, but they picked up the flavor just fine. I cut back on the hot pepper sauce because of my little ones, but otherwise I followed the recipe exactly. My 4 yr. old and even my 15 month old couldn't get enough! Thanks so much for sharing.

Brazilian White Rice

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
A nice alternative to just plain white rice. I used 1/2 chicken broth and 1/2 water. I think next time I will cut down on or eliminate the added salt if I use chicken broth again. Thanks for the great recipe.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Very moist and tasty! Next time I will cut down on the salt as I thought they were a bit salty this time. Thanks for the great recipe.

New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: May 25, 2009
I followed the recipe to the letter. It is very quick and easy, however, the texture is a light and fluffy one. I was hoping for a more dense type of cheesecake. The flavor is very good though. Thanks for sharing.

Strawnana Bread

Reviewed: May 21, 2009
Yummy recipe! These are the changes that I made: I didn't have orange zest, so added a tsp. of vanilla instead and I also did 1/2 white and 1/2 brown sugar. I agree with some other reviews that neither the strawberry or banana flavors are very strong, but it still made a super moist and delicious bread. Thanks!

Nanny's Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: May 18, 2009
Wow, a quick, easy and inexpensive alternative to jarred sauce! In fact, I no longer buy the jarred stuff because this is so good and so easy. I tend not to like the chunky sauces, so this is great. Thank you.

Grilled Asian Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
I just added the ingredients to a ziploc bag and marinated the chicken for about 4 hours. I then made another batch of the marinade and heated it to use as a sauce for the brown rice we had. Delicious! Thanks for the yummy recipe!

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2009
I was excited to try this recipe after the good reviews, but was disappointed. I actually marinated the pork chops for a few hours and feel that there wasn't much flavor to them, even so. I also only cooked them for 20 min. each side and they came out pretty tough.

Light Oat Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2009
I was looking forward to making this bread since it got such great reviews, however, I feel that it is just okay. It isn't bad, just doesn't seem to have much flavor to me.

Dried Cherry Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2009
I doubled the recipe and it was the perfect amount for a bundt pan. Instead of soaking the cherries, I just added the extract to the batter because I didn't have time to let them soak. I also added a powder sugar glaze. A wonderful pound cake recipe. Thank you!

Quick Chinese-Style Vermicelli (Rice Noodles)

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
I added some minced ginger to the sauce, used about 1/2 sesame oil and 1/2 vegetable oil and doubled the garlic to give it a bit more flavor. I also doubled the sauce and used 1/2 to saute diced chicken breasts, broccoli and carrots and then the other 1/2 for the noodles. Pan fried the noodles until crispy and then topped with the chicken and veggies. This is a great dish that is not bland as some have noted, but rather a light one. Thanks for sharing!

Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
I didn't have low sodium soy sauce and used the regular kind. It turned out a bit salty to me, but that was my own fault. Excellent recipe though. Will definitely make this one again!

Fried Cabbage II

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
Excellent recipe! I didn't have bacon (just the crumbled kind), so I just fried the onions in some butter and then added the crumbled bacon at the end. I am sure that using the bacon drippings for frying the onion would make it taste even better! Thanks for the great recipe!

Garlic Lover's Pizza Crust for the Bread Machine

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
I have to agree with some of the other reviews in that this was a very sticky dough to try to work with. I really couldn't detect much of a garlic flavor. Once I was able to roll it out, it made a very doughy crust. I will not make this again.
