My mom used to make this all the time when I was a kid, but without the cheese. I recently tried it out with my family and added the cheese. Awesome. To the person who claimed it was 'too sweet' with the amount of mayo listed, just use 1/4 cup, this is what I do. Also, I am stumped as to how mayo can be 'too sweet' unless you also used miracle whip. If that is the case, don't do that, it's gross, hee hee. To the person who though using mayo to make a warm sauce, mayo is just an egg emulsion, much like hollandaise...which is a warm sauce.
