Extreme Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2014
I usually find most dessert recipes too sweet. I used 1 2/3 cups sugar instead of 2 and glad I did. Like most, I used coffee instead of hot water. I found it a little too chocolatey. Next time I will decrease amount of cocoa used. Very good flavour though and very moist. With these adjustments, this will be my new go to chocolate cake.

Kung Pao Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2013
I made the dish exactly as is (except for the omission of sesame oil and peanuts bc of son's food allergies) and put it on a bed of sautéed green beans and mushrooms and it was perfect! This way I don't need to add extra water or chicken broth which would mess up the consistency of the sauce. This tastes like it came from a restaurant.

Jalapeno Bread I

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2013
My all time favorite bread recipe!! i make this at least once every week. I do the dough in my bread maker and add small chunks of cheese (aged chedder and regular cheddar) in after the dough is complete and bake it in my oven. Another variation is to add fried red onions. Fantastic toasted with butter or for grilled cheese. I've even toasted up cubes of the bread and served it with a warm dip to many compliments.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2013
Nice easy recipe. Very moist. Without the sweetness it would be bland. I added 3/4 cup finely grated zucchini which worked well and made it more visually appealing. Next time will add in chopped jalepeno's to give it more depth.
