Beef, Mushroom and Guinness® Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2015
This recipe was a winner, made it exactly as written, and it was a hit! The bacon and the beer make it so good. I was so glad when the hours of work payed off, my husband loved it.

Chef John's Hot Spinach Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2014
This stuff is delicious! I got all the compliments at the party. Couldn't find Guyere at the store so i had to settle for swiss. Still good though, and I'm making it again for an upcoming New Years party! Four stars for ingredient availability. It took me forever to gather all the things, and it's pretty pricey compared to other cheaper (but less awesome) options.

Baked Dijon Salmon

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2014
delicious. Came out absolutely perfect, followed the recipe except for the fresh parsley, i had to substitute with dry parsley because that's all i had on hand. Fresh parsely will make this even better next time.

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2014
First time I've ever cooked with wine, and I gotta say, it is our new favourite thing, all the family were trying to figure out the secret ingredient. They all loved it, thank you.

Creamy PHILLY Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2014
Delicious, I substituted stewing beef because that's what I had available. I also added a small amount of white wine to it and it tasted great. My boyfriend loved it, and we had a restaurant quality meal on the cheap. Thanks for the great recipe

Cranberry Sauce Chicken II

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2013
Made this for my mom, usually I hate cranberry anything but I gotta say, This was actually quite good, will make this again. It's good to have rice with this for soaking up all the juicy sauce.

Pesto

When I wanted to make Pesto Cheesy Chicken Rolls, I didn't have any pesto on hand but I did have all the ingredients and I'm glad I made it at home. This was great and made a delicious chicken dish.

Ground Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2013
I like to make this often when I can't decide what else to do with the ground beef. Sometimes I use fresh mushrooms in stead of canned if I have them on hand. Great easy recipe.

Pesto Cheesy Chicken Rolls

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2013
Delicious! Followed the recipe exactly except for cooking time, the other reviews were right; 35 minutes at 375 was just right, the chicken was perfectly cooked. I served it with asparagus and wild rice which made for a great meal and received compliments from my dad (our biggest food critic).

Cheese Borek

Reviewed: May 9, 2013
not a fan of the variation, call me a purist but it's better with feta. Also, way too much parsley. The version in the picture is like the caserole version, layered like a lasagna, two sheets filo, brush with butter, and it makes the layers a bit better if you put the melted butter and also a bit of egg beaten with milk. there are many ways to do borek such as triangles, layered, rolled up into a spiral like a cinamon roll almost, rolled like cigar (sigara borek). etc.

Greek Island Chicken Shish Kebabs

Reviewed: May 9, 2013
This recipe is fantastic, I used fresh herbs, and it turned out delicious, I think it might even compete with my dad's bbq, which is a big deal. To the reviewer who thought this made it inedible, the only explanation would be either using bad ingredients or doing it wrong, but honestly it's hard to mess this one up. You can change it up with any type of vinegar, and use fresh hand squeezed lemon. I definitely will be making this one again.

Mint Tea Punch

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2013
Three stars because I had to make so many changes to the recipe to suit my taste, but it was a great inspiration for my first homemade iced tea. And putting mint leaves in tea while it steeps is such a good idea, delicious flavour.

Wisconsin Cheese Soup II

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2013
Four stars for simplicity, good consistency, and delicious flavour. It was very quick and easy, I'm typing this while eating a second bowlful, I cant wait to try the variations described in the reviews with celery, stronger cheese, and maybe even some bacon.

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2013
I like this recipe but the second time i followed the reviewer's suggestion to add some quick oats to thicken it, this made it much better. My suggestion to bring your sloppy joes to the next level is to toast your bun under the broiler with cheddar cheese on it to melt the cheese. delicious

Made this exactly as directed and it turned out perfect. It's not too often I make something on this site and don't even need to make a single change to the recipe.
