Blackberry Pie I

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2012
Had a lot of fun baking this pie with my 9yr old. Recipe is very easy to follow with a delicious result! We used fresh berries that we picked at a local farm, only modification was using gluten free flour which helped to lighten the flavour and consistency of the filling. Will definitely make again!

Spicy Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
good but not sure why we keep rating this recipe because I used the methods discussed below of cutting the sweet potatoes into fries then mixing with olive oil, salt and pepper. I also added a hint of lemon and garlic salt. Delicious result!

The Best Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2009
Easy to make, tastes lovely and my little one had fun helping too! I did use the changes that a few others suggested...We used 1/2 cup white sugar with 1/2 cup brown sugar, added 1 tsp vanilla and a dash of cinnamon for some extra flavour. We also sprinkled chocolate chips on top before baking and dusted with powdered sugar afterwards. Fantastic and not too much effort to make even on a lazy Sunday!

Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
Fantastic results! Although, I must say, I ventured down the route of the cabernet version by adding 1/2 cup of red wine and also added 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Turned out to be the best cranberry sauce ever.

Fabulously Sweet Pear Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2007
I made this recipe with a few sligt revisions. I reduced the oil to 1/2 cup and subsituted chocolate chips for the pecans. The cake smelled wonderful and was generally good - certainly nice with a cup of tea or coffee. Not sure if I will make again as it has not been a hit with my family.

Delilah's Frosted Cut-Out Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
Great cookies! I refrigerated the dough for around 2 1/2 hours - it was really easy to work with and went a very long way (we baked what we needed and froze the rest of the dough). My little girl LOVED decorating the cookies. Husband thought they were good but a little dry, I didn't notice and thought they were lovely. I will bake again.

Easy Morning Glory Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2007
Starbucks, eat your heart out! Never again will I pay £1.45 each morning for your dense "rise and shine" muffins because this recipe is amazing. Light, fluffy muffins, the best I've made this year. I also took the route of reducing 1c oil to 1/2 cup oil and 1/2 cup apple sauce. Looking forward to a work week full of these. Yum!

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies III

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2007
Absolutely wonderful. Used olive oil spread instead of real butter. Baked into soft, moist cookies. My little one and I made lots of trips to the cookie jar today!
