Pastel de Tres Leches (Three Milk Cake)

Reviewed: May 8, 2012
Oh man, this was soooooo good ! Everyone loved it at our home group. Can't wait to serve it to a new group of people to see if they have the same response. Topped each piece with whipped cream, toasted coconut and diced strawberries.

Chocolate Silk Pecan Pie

If you love chocolate this will become your favorite, just make sure you use good quality chocolate chips like Guitard. Just follow the directions it's a well written recipe, do not deviate or you might have some trouble. Your chocolate loving friends will love you forever if you serve them this pie.

As the rest of the reviewers, I too loved this recipe. So good and better than in the over priced and over crowded resturants.

Creamy Chicken on Linguine

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2011
This was just a so-so recipe. I would not make it for guests that I was trying to impress. It wasn't bad , just average,

Cranberry Almond Biscotti

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2007
At first the texture of the dough scared me (too gooey)but then I just went with it and followed the directions as written. All came out very very good. I will definently make these again. I loved the tartness from the cranberries and the cookie was not overly sweet so it is the perfect snack for any time of the day.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2009
GREAT RECIPE, but then again, I know how to bake properly. This is a foolproof recipe and is absolutely the best if you follow the recipe, measure & level your ingredients.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2007
This was an excellent recipe...and I didn't even make it right. When I got home i didn't have ground clove so I used plain cinnamon and nutmeg. The first thing my husband said when he walked in from work was " Wow, something smells really good". I can't wait to try it again but this time I will try it using the recipe as written.

Creamy Gelatin Dessert

Was pretty good but I'm thinking strawberry Gelatin might work better in this recipe. For now I will give 4 stars and will report later how it comes out with Strawberry.

Tried 'n' True Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2012
Finally a darn good Peanut Butter Cookie. I've made dozens of PB Cookie recipes and never came across what I was looking for in taste and texture. I especially like the tenderness of this cookie. I rolled them in sugar prior to flattening with a fork. These remind me of the kind I used to eat from my childhood. It's just a good old fashioned Peanut Butter Cookie.

Slow-Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2011
TURNED OUT PERFECT FOR A 4LB PLUS CORNED BEEF. IF SMALLER PIECE OF MEAT IS USED YOU MIGHT WANT TO CONSIDER COOKING AT LOW. FLAVOR WAS FANTASTIC.

Mint Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2011
Wonderful recipe. Followed recipe as written. Froze the cake before icing, when mixing the green icing I too thought it was too thick and was glad i froze the cake. When I looked at the recipe a second time I realized I added 1/2 a stick of butter instead if 1/2 a cup ( big difference ). After I added the other 1/2 of the stick (to measure 1/2 cup total, as recipe calls for) the icing was perfect and easy to spread. There was no need to freeze the cake to ice it if you be sure to use a whole stick of butter. If you freeze the cake before you ice it then while you are in the process of icing it you will have to be FAST as the icing will firm up that much faster and could be hard to spread smoothly.

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Taste great as written. Not a wham bam punch but more a beautiful layering of flavor through and through. Exceptional delicate blending of spices work very well together. Will keep this recipe forever.

Satiny Chocolate Glaze

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2010
Perfect and pretty. I used this recipe for my "Cream Filled Cupcakes" found on this site. The texture and taste was wonderful. I slowly melted in microwave (about 12 second intervals) stirring after every 12 seconds. I was able to dip cupcakes quickly and achieved nice coverage. When glaze started to get hard to work with (thick) I popped back into microwave for another few seconds.

Slow Cooker Maple Country Style Ribs

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2010
My hubby loved this recipe. The smell while cooking is to die for but the best part is eating these ribs, sooooo yummy. I ran out of time to use my slow cooker so I had to use the pressure cooker. I added 1/3 cup of water and cooked for 35 minutes. This worked well when in a hurry but will use slow cooker the first chance I get.

A Very Popular BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2010
I was looking for something quick with basic ingredients. I really didn't expect much because of the effort this recipe requires. I was pleased to have been so satisfied with this BBQ sauce. It has something for everyone, spice, sweetness, ease, Some might prefer a smokey flavor so go ahead and add 1 tsp. of Liquid Smoke.

Black Magic Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2011
Great recipe !!! I normally make the Hershey Chocolate Cake recipe ( which is a close second to this ) but the addition of coffee to enhance the chocolate taste and buttermilk for moistness is just the ticket for a great chocolate cake. This is different from the Hershey recipe and well worth a try.
