Pastel de Tres Leches (Three Milk Cake)

Oh man, this was soooooo good ! Everyone loved it at our home group. Can't wait to serve it to a new group of people to see if they have the same response. Topped each piece with whipped cream, toasted coconut and diced strawberries.

Tried 'n' True Peanut Butter Cookies

Finally a darn good Peanut Butter Cookie. I've made dozens of PB Cookie recipes and never came across what I was looking for in taste and texture. I especially like the tenderness of this cookie. I rolled them in sugar prior to flattening with a fork. These remind me of the kind I used to eat from my childhood. It's just a good old fashioned Peanut Butter Cookie.

Decadent Peanut Butter Pie

Today I won a first place cream pie ribbon and a best pie of show trophy, making this pie. I made two pies, one with expensive cream cheese and one with a brand x cheese. To my surprise the better pie was the one with off brand cheese. It held up firmer as it fell to room temp. Don't actually know why but I will use the off brand from now on with this recipe.

Black Magic Cake

Great recipe !!! I normally make the Hershey Chocolate Cake recipe ( which is a close second to this ) but the addition of coffee to enhance the chocolate taste and buttermilk for moistness is just the ticket for a great chocolate cake. This is different from the Hershey recipe and well worth a try.

German Chocolate Cake III

Interesting recipe and well worth the experience. This cake recipe was very good, not even close to a box cake(thank goodness). This will be my # 1 German Chocolate Cake recipe. I followed the recipe as written and there are no need for any changes whatsoever. Make this cake !!!

Spaghetti Sauce with Ground Beef

Really like this recipe. Did add 1/4 red wine, 1 bay leaf and 2 teaspoons of sugar to counter the acidity. This is a very good base and will work well with everyone personal tastes. Do try this recipe and do be creative.

Trishie's Chinese-Style Salad Dressing

I don't know, I thought something was missing. I added 2 teaspoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of sesame seed oil and that seemed to do the trick. I like my changes so I make this again, all the ingredients are staples so it's a great go to dressing.

Mint Chocolate Cake

Wonderful recipe. Followed recipe as written. Froze the cake before icing, when mixing the green icing I too thought it was too thick and was glad i froze the cake. When I looked at the recipe a second time I realized I added 1/2 a stick of butter instead if 1/2 a cup ( big difference ). After I added the other 1/2 of the stick (to measure 1/2 cup total, as recipe calls for) the icing was perfect and easy to spread. There was no need to freeze the cake to ice it if you be sure to use a whole stick of butter. If you freeze the cake before you ice it then while you are in the process of icing it you will have to be FAST as the icing will firm up that much faster and could be hard to spread smoothly.

Baked Spaghetti

This is the ideal potluck recipe. Everyone loves spaghetti but regular sapghetti does not travel well, it gets dry and sticks together. In this recipe the pasta is mixed with butter egg and parmesan cheese which helps avoid ending up being a stuck together glob of dry pasta. Texture and taste is a winner here. Try it, you'll love it !!

Cinnamon Sugar Biscotti

Not the best ever but pretty darn good. Would call this recipe a keeper for sure. Especially pairs well with a hot cup of coffee because they were not overly sweet so not to compete with your drink. Might try with 1/2 tsp of almond extract instead of vanilla next time just to see what happens.

Chocolate Silk Pecan Pie

If you love chocolate this will become your favorite, just make sure you use good quality chocolate chips like Guitard. Just follow the directions it's a well written recipe, do not deviate or you might have some trouble. Your chocolate loving friends will love you forever if you serve them this pie.

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Creamy Gelatin Dessert

Was pretty good but I'm thinking strawberry Gelatin might work better in this recipe. For now I will give 4 stars and will report later how it comes out with Strawberry.
