Ham 'n' Noodle Toss

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2011
Sorry, we just didn't care for this. It went together in a snap, so that was nice, but even my kids, who LOVE ramen noodles wouldn't eat this. Just not for us.

Cookie Balls

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2009
I used these as the favors for a peas-in-the-pod twins baby shower. I used almond bark that I tinted light green and put two in each favor box. They were a hit! Simple and delicious. I found the trick to dipping them in the melted bark was, as others have suggested, chill the rolled balls before dipping and making sure the melted bark was warm. Once it gets too cool it starts getting gloppy. Still tasted great, just didn't look as good. Thanks for sharing!

Mock Champagne

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2009
I used this punch for a baby shower I just hosted. The mom's maiden name is Golden and that's exactly the color of this punch! It was so good I had to have someone go to the store for me so I could make more! Wasn't sickeningly sweet and doesn't have a ton of sugar. I had to give out the recipe to several people. Thanks for sharing!

Slow Cooker London Broil

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2009
Although I wasn't blown away by the taste, the ease of preparation was great. Literally took just a few minutes to pull together. There just wasn't that 'wow' factor I was hoping for based on other reviews.

Sausage Applesauce Appetizer

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2008
It's surprising how good this recipe is with only 4, seemingly oddly matched, ingrediants! I only had sweet Italian sausage so I added a little cayenne and cut down the amount of sugar. Was wonderful and can't wait to try it unchanged.

Mary's Roasted Red Pepper Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2008
I've been making this dip for a couple of years now and my only change is to use less mayo and mustard, but we LOVE this dip! It always gets good reviews with guests as well.

Cranberry Cream Cheese Bars

YUM! Made as is and thought these were excellent. Was slightly worried about the tartness of the cranberry & lemon in this but it works real well!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
My only change to this was adding finely chopped carrots but it was a really good soup. Would probably make a good quick clam chowder with the addition of a can of clams. Going to try that next! Thanks for posting!

Hoagie Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2008
As per suggestions by other reviewers, I added everything into my food processor & this was so easy to make! I think the addition of red wine vinegar & a little extra oregano really brings it home. Had to pass on the recipe to the host of a party I brought this to because everyone loved it! Thanks for posting!

Restaurant-Style Coleslaw I

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2008
This makes the best coleslaw! I never have buttermilk so I leave that out & make up for it with more milk, half the amount of sugar & it is fabulous!

Sesame Noodles

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2008
Made this for dinner tonight and thought it was really good with asian sesame marinated grilled chicken. Served it cold and cut back on the sugar by 1/2, added some chopped red & green peppers to the pasta water just so they par-boiled a little and used a Thai sweet chili sauce b/c that's what I had on hand. Used WAY more sesame seeds too. Thanks for posting!

Greek Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
Just made this tonight and we really enjoyed it. I added a chopped red pepper when I added the chicken and about a 1/2 package of sliced fresh mushrooms when the chicken was almost done b/c I had them on hand. I added the marinade from the artichokes and some extra chopped chokes. Since some of the reviews said this was dry, I added about 1/2 - 3/4 cups of the pasta cooking water which I added about 1-2 tablespoons of tomato paste to...turned out GREAT!!! Thanks for posting!

Chocolate Yummies

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2008
So easy and a really good variation to the standard rice crispy treats! My almost 3yr old loves helping me in the kitchen and these were great to do with her. I had to pass along the recipe to my sister after sending some over for my niece and nephew - my brother-in-law scarfed them down! They are pretty sweet though, so make sure you've got your glass of milk ready!

To take this to the next level, saute some bacon in the oil, crumble and cook the onion/pepper mix in the bacon grease. Definitely needs garlic and a little cumin. REALLY good!!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! I put some liquid smoke in with the beef broth while the pork is in the crock pot, shred, mix the bbq sauce with some liquid smoke in the crock pot, put the shredded meat back in and let it heat through. (Don't overmix the shredded pork or else you'll end up with something resembling wallpaper paste - still good but the texture leaves something to be desired needless to say :) ) This also works well with chicken. I like serving with the Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole also on this site. YUM!

Strawberry Dream Cake II

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
If I could give this more than 5 stars I would! Have made this a couple of times and every time I've had someone beg me for the recipe...or request I make it the next time they've been invited over. I've made the cake a day or two before and assembled day of and it was still moist and delicious. The photo posted with the recipe is GORGEOUS by the way!

Stuffed Strawberries

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
SOOOOOO good! I made these for my daughter's Strawberry Shortcake themed b-day party and these were a BIG hit! I used a little almond extract instead of orange liquor. If you cut around the stem, you end up with a nice 'pocket' for filling. Thanks for posting!

Sooo good! A really nice change of pace for our summer bbq's - burgers & grilled chicken get a little overused and this is FABULOUS meal any time of year!
