Basic Corn Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2013
Not too dry but not too soggy. I only used a quarter cup sugar and added coconut. Also, for half I added hot sauce for a kick.

Best recipe I've ever used. They turned out like Mrs. Field's. Moist, chewy and delicious

Creamy Potato and Leek Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2006
Really good for when you don't have very many things about the house. I substitute milk and it still comes out lovely.

Dilly Bread

Very yummy! My husband loved it warm and didn't even noticed the cottage cheese, which he normally hates. I loved it cold because I could taste all the different flavors.

Big M's Spicy Lime Grilled Prawns

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2006
This is tasty and works well even without four hours of marinating. I added a lot more chillis and it was accordingly hot!

Easy to Remember Pie Crust

This was a hit at Christmas! I used butter and that made it a bit fragile, but so delicious!

Honey Wheat Bread II

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2006
I used only the amount of honey in the recipe and found it just the right amount of sweetness. It was a bit dense and refused to cook all the way through, but that may be due to my error. I will try again and see if it is any lighter

Flavorful and easy to make. I needed to add a lot more spice to make it spicy, though.

Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2005
This was extremely salty! We cut back on the salt in the marinade and I wish I had cut back on the salt in the sauce. So salty, we couldn't eat it. If we're brave we'll try it again and salt to taste.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2004
This was easy, but not easy enough though, because mine came out dry. Could be due to my oven. Overall good, but not perfection.

Polly Welby's Excellent Chocolate Mousse

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2004
This was delicious, but it was difficult to get the right consistancy. If it is chilled to long it is very thick and not long enough it is too light. Still lovely.
