Mushroom Chicken Parmesan

My husband and I loved this recipe. I took the advice of others. I added salt, pepper, garlic powder and herbs de provence to the flour. I sauteed the mushrooms with some fresh spinach, fresh garlic, and sherry. I served over angel hair pasta. Delicious!

Raspberry-Glazed Rosemary Chicken

I thought this recipe was OK. I agree that the rosemary needs to really be crushed. Mine still had some uncrushed pieces that made the recipe less appealing. I might try it on pork chops, using more honey mustard next time.

Best Ever Beef Stew

This is delicious. I followed some of the other reviewers' suggestions. I browned the beef in a cast iron pot. I removed beef and set aside while I sauteed chopped onion and mushrooms. I added large carrots and celery pieces, chopped potatoes, frozen green beans, and frozen peas. (skipped the cabbage) I cut back broth to 32 oz. I added about 1 TB Worcestershire sauce also. I covered the pot and placed in 350 degree oven for at least an hour. I removed the celery and carrot pieces and pureed them in a blender. I mixed a little corn starch with the pureed veggies and returned to pot. This thickened up the stew a bit. My husband loved it.

I wasn't a big fan of this recipe. I think that the lemon pepper really overwhelmed the rest of the flavors.

Buttermilk Noodle Bake

This was really good! I don't make a lot of casserole style meals, but I had thought this looked interesting when I saw it used buttermilk. It was really flavorful and I would definitely make it again.

Lemon Curd Bars

Halibut with Rice Wine

Wow, this was delicious. This was one of the best tasting fish dishes I have had. I would agree that the cilantro really makes the dish incredible. Do not leave it out. I think next time I will double the sauce. We served the fish with Sobe noodles. As they didn't have a lot of flavor, the sauce really enhanced the side dish too. EXCELLENT!

Roasted Chicken Noodle Soup

Both my husband and I really thought this was excellent. I bought a rotiserre chicken from the grocery store and canned chicken broth (fat free/low sodium). I did everything according to direction. We loved the taste. I think it was a little thick, so next time I might add a bit more broth. Otherwise, awesome!

Navy Bean Soup I

I loved this soup so much! I only changed a few things: Used all chicken broth instead of water/bouillon. Used 2 onions, fresh parsley, and cayenne pepper instead of black. I added a ham hock purchased at the store. This ham hock apparently had some salt, as I needed no additional salt for the soup. I really don't like tomato based soups. But, after reading the reviews, I realized that the chopped tomatoes would not turn into a tomato soup. I wouldn't leave them out, as I think they added to the soup. But they didn't cook down into a tomato-based soup, for which I was happy. I think that the soup was marvelous. I might change next time to use "reduced sodium" chicken broth, as the ham hock provides all the salt the soup really needs.

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

We absolutely loved this! Following helpful advice of others, I browned in garlic olive oil. Used also plenty of garlic powder and minced fresh garlic. Used 2 cans beef broth, onion soup mix, baby carrots, and mushrooms. We served with oven roasted seasoned fingerling potatoes. Yum!! Thanks for the awesome recipe.
