Cooking has been a passion of mine since I was old enough to use the toaster! :) Some of the fondest memories of my childhood include moments with my mother or grandmother in the kitchen. Until now, cooking has been more of a hobby of mine but in a few short months, I will be following my dreams all of the way to culinary school!
My favorite things to cook
Since becoming a mother, my favorite things to cook have gone from elegant, impressive dinners to delicious and nutritious meals for my child. HOWEVER, when I get the opportunity to cook for entertainment purposes, I'm always up for trying anything that looks fun and exciting!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I started cooking with my Grandmother when I was young - some of my favorite memories include the two of us making ourselves sick from eating cookie dough!
My cooking triumphs
Some of my biggest triumphs have been things such as making a non-traditional Thanksgiving dinner for 30 people, hosting an elegant NYE dinner party, and also coming up with some of my very own beloved recipes. I feel that I'm really coming into my own and that in and of itself is a triumph for me :)
My cooking tragedies
I once tried to surprise my hubby with his favorite breakfast; eggs Benedict. He's not a picky eater, but needless to say it made its way to the garbage with less than one bite taken out of it! It was vomit-inducing! (it had somehow curdled... I haven't tried it since!)
