Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2013
Did not have time to marinate, read over a few of the top reviews then...Set oven 250,cut foil to line and cover pan, sprayed foil. Next removed the back muscle (part came off easy) then squeezed a little French's yellow mustard on ribs and massaged into ribs, then sprinkled McCormack Molasses Bacon "grill mates" all over ribs. Placed in pan, sealed foil. Baked for 3hours, removed from oven, reset oven to 450, meanwhile removed all pan juices and brushed with Sweet Baby Rays. Placed back in oven for 30 minutes. Wow! Delicious and easy!

Pumpkin Chipotle Pasta Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2013
Quick & easy! I only used 1/2 of a chipotle pepper and 1 teaspoon of Splenda; we like a mild heat and a sweet taste. Goes great as a main meal or a perfect side dish either hot or cold.

Slow Cooker Spicy Black-Eyed Peas

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2013
Used fresh Mexican chorizo (1 pound; cut each sausage into thirds) in place of ham and bacon, the paprika in the chorizo did not distract from the wonderful taste. Left out the cayenne as did not need that much heat. A great easy recipe.

Pecan Turtle Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2012
Doubled recipe, baked in jelly roll pan for 25minutes. Did not have brown sugar so for doubled recipe used 3cups white sugar AND 1cup molasses (total). Lined pan with aluminum foil then lined that pan with parchmant paper; was very easy to remove and slice after they were cooled. Will make again! Thank you, Marlyn.

Simple Slow Roast Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2012
Quick to prepare (work time)so easy and you can change any spice/herb or add any spice herb you want. Will try next time with white wine (Sherry). Juicy, succulent meat but miss the crisp skin. Will try upping oven temp to 450F for the last 15 minutes and taking cover off to see if it crisps up the skin..

Apple Squares

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2012
Yum! Made as written except used powered almonds (had on hand from spice store). Will make again, so easy, tasty and think any kind of nut and/or fruit would work. Plan next batch with pears (will use double the amount of fruit)and more of my leftover finely ground almonds and maybe just 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon in topping and a dash of nutmeg. Great recipe for kids to make as all done with sturdy wooden spoon.
