Win's Shrimp and Spaghetti

This recipe was awful. I managed to save it by adding flour and milk to the butter sauce, until the consistency was just right. I also added one can of condensed tomato soup for flavor. After all those changes it did taste really good. Would not make again.

German Lemon Cake

Apple Bacon Tomato Soup

Wow....this was sooooo yummy. I had my doubts at first, because the flavor combinations sounded strange to me, but it turned out absolutely delicious. The best thing about this soup were the apples. Next time I will increase it to two apples. I also added 1/2 cup of water to this soup since it turned out a little bit like stew. It tasted so great there were no leftovers.

Fruity Tart

The taste was great, but I had a problem with the pudding being too soft. When I got ready to cut it, the pudding was still somewhat liquid and spead all over the place. I had to just spoon out the pie onto the plates. Luckily I served it to my family and nobody complained. I will give this recipe another try, though. Next time I will use less milk.

Cheesy Vegetables and Noodles

Great recipe. I used mild mexican flavored Velveeta. Had plenty of bite to it, was not bland. Velveeta also melts smooth with no lumps in it. This recipe is great if you love cheese. A great way to add vegetable to a kids diet.

Rosemary Chicken Noodle Soup

This was a wonderful and easy recipe. I did make just a few changes. I used 9 cups of water and 9 chicken boulons for flavoring. I wanted to end up with 8 cups for the soup and figured that I would probably lose one during cooking. I used 4 chicken thighs and some chicken tenderloin. I love rosemary, so I didn't think that the taste was too strong. It was just perfect for me. I didn't use thyme, just rosemary. Be sure and put the lid on the pot while you are cooking your soup for an hour and to turn down the heat to simmer, or you will lose too much of your liquid. While the pasta was cooking for about 9 minutes I took out the chicken, cut it into small pieces and returned it to the soup. I served the soup with garlic bread. The flavor was wonderful. My husband loved it. Will become a regular dish in our house. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Green Chile Stew

What a big hit with my family! I liked it, but my husband couldn't get enough of it. He ate 5 bowls! He would give it 6 stars. Didn't change a thing and served it with hot french bread & butter, and a mixed green salad on the side. Will be making again soon!

Italian Sausage Soup

This was a great recipe for cold winter days. My husband loved it. The only change I made was that I added about one cup of macaroni pasta to it. We served it with warm french bread and butter....very yummy.

Italian Pork Tenderloin

This recipe was out of this world. I did make some changes. I used Hormel Pork Tenderloin, the one that is already marinated. Instead of sage and parcley I used italian seasoning, a fresh tomato instead of the sundried and regular milk instead of the heavy cream. Despite all of these changes it was simply superb. I served it with caribbean rice and a green salad. Great recipe if you are trying to impress and very simple!!!

Ham and Swiss Casserole

That was a wonderful recipe. My mom makes a similar one, but this one is much better. The only change I made was that I used shredded italian cheese instead of swiss cheese because I had it on hand. I wouldn't change a thing. It tasts great with a mixed green salad on the side.

Gluehwein

What a great recipe! I was skeptical at first about using 3/4 cup white sugar. I thought it would be way too much, but it wasn't. When I sipped the Gluehwein, the sweetness was perfect and all those memories from visiting Christmas markets in Germany came back. Wonderful recipe.....thank you Else!

Okra, Chicken and Rice Casserole

This recipe was very yummy. My 8 year old loved the rice and didn't even realize it had okra in it. It came out creamy, and the flavor was wonderful. The only canges I made were:I used fresh okra, chicken thighs and added salt to it. Will make again soon.
