Buffalo Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 11, 2000
I have made this recipe many times over the past year and it always scores 11 on a scale of l0. It is wonderful to take to 'new' mothers who don't have time to eat because the cookies are so nutritious. I have also frozen them in packs of ten and just take along a pack if I have to take something along. Delicious and nutritious!

Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: May 20, 2000
I made one of these cookies for each of my young son-in-laws. I wrote their names on them wrapped them in cellophane and ties with a pretty ribbon. It was really a hit. They agreed that this recipe is definitely a "l0". The only problem was they had a hard time getting them away from my daughters. Great fun to make!

I found this recipe a refreshing way to do vegetables. I used cucumber and red pepper and celery along with the vegtables listed in the recipe which turned out quite nice. The marinade is really excellent. I cooked this in the oven under the broiler. Very nice.

Veggie Delight on Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2000
This is a really nice recipe. I made it as a side dish. I used a whole loaf of french bread which I cut into wedges. It went over really well. There is enough left over for tomorrow's lunch. Quite delicious. This could also be made as a nice lunch in itself.

Cakes In A Cone

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2000
I took this recipe to the finger food only dance for seniors. It was a hit. You see, even the big kids can like this too. It was a little bit of nostalgia for them, and they look so much like the real thing. They are also delicious. I changed the recipe to letting them cook after removing from the oven then dipped them in a butterscotch butter icing. This really madethem look like icecream.

Slow Cooker Roast Beef

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2001
This recipe is really excellent. I started it one evening after our supper and the next day I didn't have to worry about getting supper ready. It was already cooking away. I added a cup of beef broth to the ingredients. About an hour before it was finished I added some cornstarch to thicken. I had so much broth left, which was absolutely delicious, the next day I heated it and added whatever vegetables I had on hand along with a little bit of the meat and made a beef barley vegetable soup. Yum!!! This is definitely a keeper.

Romantic Chicken with Artichokes and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2001
I made this for my husband for Valentine's Day and he definitely rated it a l0. I didn't have mushrooms, so I sauteed an onion and three tomatoes, a little diced celery, then the artichokes. I served the meal on a bed of rice that had been cooked in cream of chicken soup instead of water. "Wow"

Orange Slice Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2002
Excellent! Fun to make. Followed recipe to a T and it turned out perfectly. A bit on the rich side so you only need a small slice, but sooo delicious. Also, quite sweet. Next time I'd cut the sugar by l/2 to 3/4 of a cup. Otherwise, wonderfully tasty. Ingredients are a bit pricey, but worth it. If you don't like cakes with dried fruits, but want a festive cake, this is definitely the one.
