I am of Italian decent and have been learning to cook sweet and savory since I was born. I still have roots in my beloved "Bella Italia" and have learned much from my visits such as eating from the oldest pizzerias in the world and sampling some of the best espressos.
I was in the kitchen with my grandparents since I started walking. Cooking begins with common sense and simplicity for me; however I am also open to new ideas and ways to do things.
My favorite things to cook
My favourite ingredients to cook with are rosemary and white wine; lamb, rabbit and potatos :) this is my comfort food...especially when the bits get all cripsy...ahh home :)
If it is a sweet dish, I enjoy something rich and sinful :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
La Pastiera Napolitano, very difficult recipie to follow but when done correctly it sings "Napolitano" :) -
In Italy it is called the marriage of three creams :)
