Cocktail Meatballs

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2010
Make sure to use full fat regular old groud beef for this. I tried using really lean groung beef and they ended up going to waste. I ate some, but they werent a big hit like the time I used the fattening stuff! Otherwise this is a great recipe.

Sesame Noodles

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2010
This was great! I kept the dressing measurements the same but made 8 oz pasta and added stir fried chicken, broccoli, and carrots. Next time I think I would reduce the oil a bit. I also thickened the sauce with 2 T cornstarch in water. Very tasty meal. My 4 year old who loves "mall food court" chinese inhaled this meal!

Donut Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2010
They taste exactly like their name. I made half with the butter, sugar, cinnamon and then the other half I rolled in powered sugar. I definitely prefered the one that the recipe states. Not to mention they are EASY!

These were great. They yasted exactly like the restaurant version. I used flour tortillas and baked at 450 degrees as some other reviewers mentioned.

Caesar Salad Supreme

Reviewed: May 19, 2010
This is my favorite caesar salad dressing! I dont make the croutons, just the dressing and I leave out the anchovies only because I never have it on hand, but Im sure they would be great. I have made this with both regular mayo and also 1/2 light and 1/2 regular and I actually prefer that lighter version better- not as thick.

Slider-Style Mini Burgers

Reviewed: May 5, 2010
These are nothing short of 5 stars. My husband said they should be a ten! I made them exactly as the recipe states, but put the pickles on the buns before baking them. Also, I used soft potato rolls. I made them for my sons 4th birthday dinner and we all loved them!

Tuna Noodle Casserole from Scratch

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2010
Let me start by saying that Ive never had tuna noodle casserole before... I grew up in a family of casserole haters, especially tuna! I loved it! I can honestly say that if it had a can of soup in it, Im sure I would have felt differently. My husband enjoyed it as well as our 3 year old. I will be making this again.

Amish Potato Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2010
I thought this was great! I cant stand potato salad thats straight mayo. This is sweet and tangy. The only change I made was to shred my carrots instead of chopping them. I think this will be my new go-to recipe for potato salad.

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies I

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2014
I haven't even finished baking the batch and I'm already writing a review. These are exactly what I have been looking for! A nice chewy oatmeal cookie. I can't stand a cakey cookie and these are perfect. The only thing I changed was to add 3/4 cup of raisins and 1/2 of walnuts. Otherwise, perfect. For my notes: reduce temperature to 350 when using convection.

This was really good, but a lot of work for hot chocolate. I'll probably stick to the packages out of pure laziness.

Banana Fritters

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2009
Well, I never thought I'd say it but these were better than my grandmothers. They were fluffy and tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. Not too sweet. Perfect! UPDATE: For the leftovers, instead of dusting them with powdered sugar, I shook them in a little cinnamon and sugar mixture and this was wonderful! I think next time I will do this from the start and skip the powdered sugar.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies III

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2009
These were wonderful. I made some changes based on other reviewers suggestions and wish I would have followed the recipe as written. I only made half of the filling and ended up being quite short. I used teaspoons to measure my dough for each cookie and ended up with almost 30 sandwiches (about 10 of which had no icing). I also followed the suggestion to chill the dough for a bit first and this was very helpful. Thanks for a great recipe!

Navy Bean Soup I

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2011
This was excellent! I used a ham bone left over from christmas and no additional meat and it was perfect. Also used fresh tomato since I had extras and 2 carrots. I went ahead and added the extra 3 C water in the beginning only because I needed to cover my ham bone and it only simmered for about 3 1/4 hours covered since we like our soup a little on the brothy side. Right before serving I added about 1T vinegar to cut the sweetness from my glazed ham. This will be my navy bean soup recipe from now on!
