Classic Waffles

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
The only thing I did different than the directions stated to do was I sifted the flour, baking power & sugar before I added the liquid ingredients. If we could my husband and I would give this a 10 star rating. Also remember to put the hot waffle on paper towels because otherwise they do get steamy/soggy without. Thank you for the wonderful recipe.. no more mixes for us!! YUMMO (just like Rachel Ray says) ;-)

Creamiest Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
I have to say if I could I would give this recipe a million stars!! It turned out WONDERFUL! I followed someone else's advise and made it in the crock pot.. it was just way too easy. I used 1/2 quart of cream, and the rest 2% milk, put that in the crock pot on high. Once it warmed up I added the rice and sugar, someone else suggested 1/3 cup more sugar so I did that, perfect! I cooked it on high for awhile, then turned down to low..when the rice was finally tender and whole crock pot was thickened, I then added about 4 big spoon fulls of rice mixture to my eggs (beaten), 1/4 cup cream, vanilla and cinnamon (to your desired taste), stirring well, then cooked it for another 20 minutes or so. Divided into 2 glass serving dishes (not sure on the size, 7 x 8 maybe). YUMMY! Move over Uncle Ben's...we've found a new recipe that is definitely a KEEPER! Thank you for submitting this recipe! LOVE IT!

Three Bean Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2005
Very tasty, I used splenda instead of sugar, making it diabetic friendly. I also added 1 can whole kernal corn (drained) 1 can peas, (drained). I choped my onion instead of in rings. I increased the amounts of oil, splenda and vinegar because of adding the extra canned vegetables. We love this salad, goes great with the slow cooker roast beef recipe I have posted here on Thanks for the great recipe. One other time I made it, I added chopped celery AND a small jar of pimento's. Really colorful.

Banana Cream Pie V

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2006
absolutely THE BEST BANANA CREAM PIE EVER!!! I decided to use splenda instead of sugar...1 cup. I stirred it while cooking with my wire until very thick. I also used 2 bananas, one layer over the bottom of the pie, then half the custard filling, one more banana and then the rest of the filling. The meringue, I added a pinch of baking powder along with the cream of tartar, it kept it from shrinking away from the edge (something I"ve always had problems with). I used the regular sugar for the meringue. I will most definitely make this pie again, thank you for a wonderful recipe!!! I have also used just coolwhip on the top of this pie after cooled or when serving. Absolutely delicious!

Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts II

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2005
I also make these, but cut the bacon into 3rd's, then wrap the chestnuts and secure with a toothpick. THEN bake them until done, and drain all the grease. Just before the guests arrive, I pour our favorite bbq sauce on them and bake again until the bbq sauce is a little sticky. Enjoy!

Makeover Morning Glory Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
I dont think you could wreck these if you tried? I used Craisins, the whole bag....other than that followed the recipe pretty much. I followed someone else's idea of using 3 eggs, and I also substituted the carrots for a can of pumpkin, didn't seem to change or alter the taste. Very good. It's definitely a keeper! Thanks!

Frank's Spicy Alabama Onion Beer Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2010
Wow I never knew chili could be this good? I did not add all of the jalepeno's, hot sauce or red pepper flakes, decided to start out slow, used 2 Jalepeno's, 1 T hot sauce and 1 T red pepper flakes, 1/4th of a red pepper and 1/4th of a yellow pepper for color, it was just the right amount of heat! We made several batches to serve at a special olympics fundraiser... wow the compliments we far the best recipe I've ever tried! Thanks!!

Microwave Popcorn

Reviewed: May 2, 2014
we used 1/4 cup of popcorn, no oil and no salt, added that after popping. our microwave is 1100 watt and we popped it 1 minute 10 seconds, done to perfection, only had about 8 unpopped kernals. Added salt and butter after the fact. Dr. Oz said microwave popcorn has cancer causing chemicals in it.. no more of that for me, I will make this!! Tastes alot like air popped corn when you don't use oil in the bag.. really no need to add oil. Thank you for opening our eyes to a better, healthier and most of all cheaper way to enjoy popcorn!!

Million Monster Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2008
My husband made these for his co-workers... decided 1 batch wasn't enough, so made two, and THOUGHT about making 3 batches (thank heavens he ran out of time)....he mixed the dough up the night before and the next night we baked and baked and BAKED from 9:30 pm to 3 AM we were baking cookies, they are DELICIOUS and well worth the effort. We used M & M peanut's but did not add them until right before baking, I pressed about 4 on each one, and then also used non peanut M & M's and put about 6 on top, press them in, this way your M & M's don't melt or candy coating doesn't rub off into the cookie dough. So three huge 19 x 17 cake boxes later, we had alot of fun and I can't wait to hear the responses, as they are DELICIOUS cookies! Thank you for a great recipe!

This is a wonderful tasting cake. Nice and moist, just the right sweetness.. does not really need powdered sugar sprinkled on it. Expect a heavy bundt cake.....but extremely delicious. Hubby loved it. I will definitely be making this cake again. Oh and I added about 1/2 cup of raisins, and 1 cup chopped walnuts. mmmm mmmm good!

Cola Pot Roast I

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2011
I will try to give as good of a review as I can.. considering my husband only heard me talking about this recipe and decided he would make it. hee hee He used a jar of spagetti sauce, a can of diet coke, dehydrated onion, garlic powder, carrots and potatoes in the bottom of the crock pot, roast on top the other ingredients on top of that, he then cooked it on high for 6 hours. Considering he didn't even know what the exact recipe was, it was pretty tasty and definitely tender and juicy. (next time I will make it myself the correct way) lol lol Definitely a keeper, he used a chuck roast. I had to smile... he was trying to please me? If he had only listened when I was reading the recipe to him last night? hahahaha

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2009
I have made this recipe now for several months...I was having trouble with the mixture sugaring after being in the oven for the hour, but I read somewhere's that if you use name brand brown sugar (such as C & H) I wouldn't have that problem... so I tried it and it's been working ever since! So use name brand brown sugar for a much better outcome!

Cranberry Almond Bark

I thought the dark chocolate overpowered the whole thing......I think next try I would use all white bark. My opinion is personal preference, so please don't think I'm picking on the recipe. Considering all the rave reviews you have received the recipe is a keeper! Thanks

Slow Cooker Roast Beef

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2005
DELICIOUS! 22 hours was too long, it was done in about 14 hours. My guests were raving about the delicious beef sandwiches. My friends begged to help eat the leftover's the next day (rather than go out to a restaurant), so I added about 1 cup of water to the left over's, and cooked a bag of homemade egg noodles....poured the beef and juice over the noodles, and topped with sour cream, stirred it up and .. that made a tasty beef strogonoff... again, delicious. Both meals I served a corn and bean pickled salad, and hard rolls. YUMM, A Definite KEEPER!! THANKS! If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would give it a 10!!
