Mother's Day Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2005
This is a very good pie. I would suggest leaving the ingredients just the way they are and baking the pie for 40-45 minutes. My pie wasn't set in the center when I checked it at 35 minutes. Good warm or cold. Thanks for sharing.

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2005
This is a really good recipe. I loved it and so did my kids. My husband liked the cream cheese mixture but really didn't like the chocolate chips in it. I am going to try to invent a new cheese ball with some kind of crushed candy in it, such as Butterfingers. Watch for a new post for maybe a 'Butterfinger Cheese Ball'. Good job Kim!!

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2005
I am only giving this a 4 star rating because I had to do some tweaking to it. I don't like sugar in my biscuit dough. I also used self-rising flour and ommitted the baking powder and salt. I also used butter and low-fat buttermilk. My husband thought that I had made them out of a can but I told him that they were home-made. I took this as a compliment. Thanks for the idea though. You helped me get a 5 star rating for mine from my husband.

This is an awesome comfort food to say the least. The taste and texture are superb. Don't change a thing about the recipe. Bake for around 40 minutes. Good job!!!

Slow Cooker Creamed Corn

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2005
I have to give credit where credit is due. I have tried many recipes from this sight and I will have to say that this one is probally my favorite so far. My whole family loves this. It is my husbands favorite dish and my youngest son which is 9 says that this corn "rocks". I do suggest using 1 and 1/2 (16 oz.) pkgs. of corn, 1/4 tsp. of pepper, and 1 tsp. of salt. I also think that it is best to heat all the ingredients except for the corn on the stovetop before placing in the crockpot. Start on high in the crockpot and cook for one hour. Turn to low and cook for around 3-4 hours. This one is realy good.

Grammy's Amazing Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2005
I agree with the other reviewer. You have to be a blue cheese fan for this one. It just sort of leaves your mouth dry. My husband liked it though and that is why I am giving it 3 stars. Will not be making this one again. Sorry, but I am still looking for that 5 star cheese ball.

Mom's Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2005
I have never rated a recipe until now. This is absolutely terrible. I guess I will keep searching for a 5 star cheeseball.
