Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
This is probably the best slow cooker chicken dish I've ever made. I made a few additions just to please my family and it turned out great.
I rubbed the chicken with my own poultry seasoning, used chicken broth instead of water, put in some celery and carrots, and since I had white mushrooms in the house, added those.
I too, felt that the dumplings needed at least an hour to cook, but was running low on time about 45 minutes in, so threw the pot in the oven for about 10 minutes on 350 degrees to finish them up.
