Chef John's Chocolate Lava Cake

I made this recipe and it turned out perfect and got rave reviews. I made the batter and placed it in the ramekins the day before and refrigerated it covered with plastic wrap. I baked them in the oven just as we sat down for our main course. They baked for about 17 minutes. They inverted onto the plates very easily and because they were still hot, the lava poured out beautifully. We served them with vanilla ice cream. I always make these just prior to eating them otherwise the lava firms up if made too early. This recipe is the best I've ever tasted!! I used dark dipping chocolate and used an electric mixer for the eggs. I followed the instructions exactly and it turned out perfect. One time I doubled it and it still turned out perfect!!

Amy's Creamy Black Bean Corn Salsa

Instead of adding parsley to the salad, I added 1 teaspoon cilantro paste to the dressing and the juice and zest of 1 lime to the dressing. It was delicious!! the dressing the way I made it is also good plain with tortilla chip dippers. I used this as a side salad instead of a salsa...lots of flavour!!

Hot and Sour Chicken and Cabbage Soup

I tried this recipe and it tastes great...I didn't have any lemon grass so I added the juice and 1 tsp of zest of a lime and a lemon. I ground a fresh tomato, and added that too. I added 5 chopped bok Choy leaves and stems and 1/2 cup grated carrots and 1 cuo sliced fresh mushrooms, I added shrimp instead of chicken and it was delicious!!

I just made this recipe and it is excellent. I only used about 4 cups of all purpose flour. Instead of adding the garlic to the dough, I added garlic powder to the melted butter and brushed the bread with the melted garlic butter. It was perfect!! I will definitely stick with this recipe.
