Neapolitan Cupcakes

I added sprinkles after piping the icing with a stemmed cherry on top and half a pirouette poked in like a straw. Ridiculously cute! The niece, who never eats more than the icing on cupcakes, devoured this one entirely and asked for but was denied a second one.

Banana Cake VI

Increased the oven temp to 300 and used 9 inch round pans but otherwise followed the recipe. Great cake! Everyone loved it. I'm thinking of making it 3 layers next time with walnuts and white chocolate frosting.

Poppy Seed Chicken

This is similar to a recipe that my best friend's mother used to make. She had less chicken in hers though so it was more saucy. And she served it over rice. I like the idea of serving it with noodles instead. Next time I will use less chicken so the noodle are coated with the extra sauce. :-)

Wedding Cake

Too eggy and not sweet enough but I thought the density was good for wedding cake. Makes it easier to apply icing. I may try it again with more sugar and less eggs.

Waldorf Astoria Cake Frosting

I must rate this one with only 1 star. I really enjoyed the buttery taste but I had the same problem as other reviewers. The frosting was to loose and separated. I think more detailed instructions are needed so that we know to add milk gradually since less is apparently needed. I may try adding some things to improve this. But I was disappointed.

You were right! This recipe was so easy and delicious. I love potatoes but never took the time to make mashed potatoes at home. I will from now on and I'll never use flakes again!
