Magic Cookie Bars from EAGLE BRAND®

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2005
I volunteered to bring something for our annual Christmas bazaar for church - even though I don't bake much any more. These were so easy to make! I used the version with 1/2 chocolate chips and 1/2 butterscotch. The ladies in the kitchen that were packaging the baked goods tasted them and said they were great. It seems that a lot of people know what they are because they sold right away. If you want better directions for the same recipe look for the site that says 7 layer Magic Bars by Eagle brand - they seem to have improved the directions for that recipe.

Bou's Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2005
Way too greasy! Could only eat the sauce after degreasing. Maybe if you skinned the chicken it would be OK, but the flavor was less than average. Won't make again.

Have made this several times. Very good recipe! Quick & easy, too!

Slow Cooker Cranberry Pork

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2004
Good! I followed the recipe - except added seasoned salt, pepper, and garlic. Cooked for 8 hrs and the sauce was very "jammy". It actually tasted similar to a recipe I make using pork ribs - and had none of the same ingredients!

Cream of Mushroom Soup III

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2004
This was O.K. but, it tasted more like cream of chicken stock soup than cream of mushroom. It was easy, however; there is a reason you add aromatics. I will stick to my old receipe from "The Joy of Cooking". Will not make again.

Cheesy Vegetable Soup I

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2004
Very good! I did use Velveeta as suggested by another reviewer. Next time I'll try it with milk instead of 1/2 & 1/2 as it was a little rich. Also added green beans and peas for extra veggies.
