Vietnamese Beef And Lettuce Curry

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
We were very pleased with this dish. I substituted curry for the cumin, used Rotel tomatoes and, after tasting, I added about a tbl more sugar. My family loved it and asked me to make it again soon. I served it with rice.

Curried Cauliflower

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
My husband loved this and requested it be added to our regular menu. I have prepared it as written (although I did add more curry powder) and also with chunks of chicken breasts to make it more of a meal casserole.

I made this exactly as written and it was delicious. My husband requested that I make it again soon and not change a thing.

Chicken and Dumplings III

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2008
Very easy basic recipe. My only changes were to use a whole chicken instead of thighs and to add chopped onion and celery. My family loved it.

Light & Tasty Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2005
My family really liked this recipe. I thought it had an "odd" taste with the first bite, but it quickly grew on me. The only change I would make is to use a little less browning sauce (maybe use 3 tbl instead of 1/4 cup) and reduce the liquid just a little bit. I will make this again.

Chicken Teriyaki - It's a Secret

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2005
This recipe resulted in chicken that was very, very moist and tender. The flavor was not exceptional, and next time I will add some garlic powder at least. But I WIll try it again. My daughter loved it. My husband said it was good. I thought it was good, but not great.

Busy Day Chicken Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2004
This sounded so good because we love everything in it. But it turned out sooo bad. After 1 1/2 hours, my rice still wasn't done, so I stirred it and cooked for another 30 minutes. After that, the rice was done, but it was just a gummy, sticky, gooey mush. My family hated it. I will not make this again.

Easy and Tasty All-Purpose Marinade

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2004
Maybe I did something wrong with this recipe. I used it with top round steaks and marinated for about 8 hours. The steaks were tender, but so salty we could barely eat them. I won't try this one again.

Breaded Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2004
This was delicious and very easy to prepare. I used frozen brussel sprouts, which I cooked in the microwave for about 5 minutes. Then, I made a mistake and poured all the butter over the sprouts, instead of reserving some of it. After I realized what I had done, I just sprinkled the dry mixture over the top and stirred it in, then cooked in the oven set to "broil" for about 5 minutes, stirring once. The result was great! My daughter raved about them, but she loves sprouts anyway they are prepared. My husband says he hates brussel sprouts, but even he ate these!

Chicken on a Stick

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2004
Goodness gracious, this was juicy and tasty! I cut boneless chicken breasts into 3 pieces each to make them easier to cook on the grill. Then, I followed the advice of the other reviewers and added a splash of soy sauce and a splash of worcestershire and a shake of lemon pepper to the recipe and marinated the chicken for about 3 hours. Then, I threw a handful of hickory chips on the gas grill and cooked the chicken on metal skewers along with some mushrooms. I started the grill on medium, but quickly turned the heat down to low to keep the chicken from burning. It took about 5-7 minutes a side to get done. The smell while cooking was unbelievably appetizing, but the taste was even better! You gotta try this one!

Super Easy Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2004
Like many other reviewers, I added a package of onion soup mix. I also used boneless chicken thighs instead of breasts because my family likes the richer flavor better. For a change, I sometimes add a roughly chopped yellow pepper and 4 tsp curry powder about 1 hour before mealtime. I like this recipe very much because it is easy to add an ingredient or two and have a new taste. My family approves!
