Stuffed Acorn Squash II

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2013
Absolutely delicious! I had a couple apple bourbon brats left, so I chopped one finely and added to skillet after the hamburger and onion was done instead of using raw sausage. The possibilities are endless with this, cant wait to try with rice, yum, what a keeper, thanks!

Garlic Cream Sauce over Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2013
This was wonderful! Used fresh dried herbs crumbled over frozen chicken breast, drizzled with olive oil & thrown in the Foreman grill. I cooked some brown rice in chicken boullion, then added the cooked chicken, covered with the sauce, voila! Awesome, we all loved it.

Lentil Soup with Lemon

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2013
My family said that this was possibly the best thing that I had ever fixed, period! That's even coming from the one that doesn't like veggies, so we will enjoy this often. Paired with Peppy's Pita Bread, this was a real winner.

Gazpacho Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2010
At first we weren't sure. This tasted good, but not sure what to do with it... until it had been in the fridge for a couple weeks and I used it as a base for sloppy joes. WOW, the best sloppy joes we ever ate! Add about 1cup gazpacho, chopped well, to 1 1/2 lbs hamburger, browned & drained. Add 3-4 tbsp brown sugar to taste, 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes, 1 cup ketchup, 1/4 cup water (rinse ketchup bottle out if empty & add), 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp. seasoned salt (I used hot pepper & garlic salt), Bring to a boil, then simmer uncovered 20 min. Wonderful, thank you! We can't wait to try this in other dishes!

BAKER'S® ONE BOWL Coconut Macaroons

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2010
These are so easy & yummy. I only had 3 eggs & scaled down to 28 servings. These are great in the bon bon shape that's shown, or flattened down a bit before baking for a browner, chewier cookie. Yum!

Blueberry Dump Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2010
I made this for a party without trying first. Would never make again, waste of great blueberries. I really love dump cake, but this was just a goopy mess. Nobody would even take any home. Sorry, hate to give bad reviews, it really sounded good.

Walnut Brownies

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2010
These brownies are very good. I did double the recipe and it was slightly gooey, but the flavor was very good and everybody enjoyed them. They were great too, considering that I was out of margarine and they used the ingredients that I had on hand. Would be great with a scoop of vanilla ice cream & a drizzle of chocolate syrup!

Hard Candy

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
This is wonderful! Just as easy as it sounds, and tastes just like I remember it. I can't agree more about the waiting, it seems to take FOREVER, but it is well worth the wait. When I added the flavor I thought it would be ruined since the little bottles from the drugstore only contain about 2 tsp of flavoring (surprise!), but any more cinnamon & it would have been too hot. The flavor was perfect, thanks so much!

I used half hot sausage, half lean ground beef, and followed the reviewer's suggestions for baking. For sauce, I used 1 can of V8 with the brown sugar & lemon juice as review suggested. Yum, what a keeper!

Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2009
WOW.. My husband declared this the best blueberry pie he's ever eaten in his whole life, and that even counted the great pies his grandma used to make. That's probably the highest compliment I've gotten in our 27 years of marriage! I too, used Stephanie's Basic Flaky Pie Crust recipe, and have also found my new crust favorite. What a combination... I think I'm going to enter this one into the fair for a first try this year. Thank you so much, Yum!!!

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2009
This was one of the best things we've ever eaten! It's so versatile, too. I couldn't get raspberries, so I used some blackberries & blueberries, and one Tbsp. less sugar than called for. Those cinnamon/sugar chips are a great thing, too. Those must be the cheapest, easiest dessert ever, and such a yummy snack. This is a really great recipe for those young cooks to try. What a hit - thank you!
