Most Amazing Challah

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2014
I confused I must be the only one with an issue... Dough was nice enough, braided well but when rose it was all over the place like a hot mess.... Braid didn't stay tight just looked like a big lumpy mess.. Did four loaves and all turned out the same... I'm no expert bread maker but have made bread for many years and this in appearance for me was just aweful, other recipes were fine so I'm trying to figure out what went wrong

recipe is great as it get the bubbles, dont use a grill instead use a large cast iron skillet. oil generously with olive oil or grape seed oil. once you have rolled out a few, let them reast for 3-5mins then place them on the hot skillet, use tongs to flip. bubbles should appear quickly.

Whoopie Pies II

I love the "cakes" on this recipe...never fond of shorting fillings, even though that is traditional...I used a fluff recipe. I hate to see raters substitute ingred. and then rate it poorly..baking is a science, so adjusting or substituting can really wreck a good me, the cake is perfect, no other recipe will be the same. Disolving the baking soda in water then adding it makes all the difference. And again fillings are always subject to preference.
